Makes me want to re-read Lucy Dawidowicz's memoir "From That Time and Place."
(Dawidowicz was an American historian who studied in Vilna, 1938-39.)

I would suggest that you get Dawidowicz's "The War Against the Jews 1933-1945". It is a great book and a thourough history. I think you will enjoy it.
