Steve didn't have the right to push Kayla to Jack but Kayla also has some blame because she didn't have to let herself be pushed towards him. She thought of Jack as a friend she didn't have to accept his stupid marriage proposal. I totally wish she had met someone else and started dating them. Maybe that would've woken up Steven Earl Johnson about what he was doing.
Did anyone else notice the look Kayla gave Steve when she looked back at him from the door? WOW! I believe that's when she decided to pursue a relationship with Jack. The look was one like "Hurt me, I'm going to hurt you right back buster!"
This entire story line just killed me. Steve was never justified in pushing Kayla toward Jack. If Jack was meant to get better than he would but if he wasn't not even Kayla would've helped him. Steve was completely living in the past. Jack had stopped being Billy the day that he legally became Jack Deveraux. For all purposes Billy Johnson had been dead since he was baby.

This year (1987) was rather frustrating, but I didn't dare stop watching like i've practically done today.
