  • Yes it was on purpose, no it's not cheating. Daniel is just good at reading and bluffing.

I know he doesn't have as much bracelets as Chan but he's damn good at surprising his opponents.

  • why would he want to show a 9 on that flop?

  • @xxChacaronXX Why wouldn't he? It's always nice to show some pocket cards, isn't it?

  • I don't think there's much doubt he meant it since he picks his money up with his left hand and moves his right hand(unnaturally) up at the same time. But it's hardly "cheating", as revealing either of your cards can't do anything but compromise the strength of your own hand.

  • On purpose or accident, it is not cheating.

  • @OskarRutka Obviously it is. Didn't you hear when Gabe said: "Wow, Daniel exposes the nine of hearts. What a fucking cheater".

  • @Milkou991 it's not cheating if he chooses to expose his own card. only if he looks at someone's card who doesn't want him to!

  • @Milkou991 that does not change anything. I've seen once Phill Laak asking dealer if it's legal to show Dwan his cards. It was legal and he did, because wanted to see Dwans reaction. Cheater used in colocvial way - okay, but rules don't forbide that.

PS Sorry for any mistakes, I'm not native speaker.

  • Obviously did it on purpose. Anybody who says different is horribly dumb and needs to see an optic asap.

  • idiots, he hits the straight on river.. why he could cheat?

  • @spichy18 when the 9 was exposed he said "there's one 9"... insinuating that he had a pair of 9's in his hand. he knew that eli at most had a small pair, so he was trying to win the hand early, before the river. (he didnt know that he was going to hit the 8 on the river). Yea it's a cheap move. I think he did do it on purpose. But it's poker.

  • It definitely looks like he did that on purpose! But even so, you're technically allowed to do that, since it only disadvantages yourself.

  • actually, the more i watch this, the more I think he did do it deliberately.

  • 100k IS BROKEN! 2/21/2011!!

  • it can be an accident. but no matter what, how the hell is showing one of your cards cheating?

  • Wtf is wrong with the uploader ?

  • Its clear that his finger is sweaty and he pushin down on his cards then when he moves his finger upwards he pulls the card up with it OBV!

  • But the nine doesnt help him to show...theres no straight he can have with the 9...but that could be a cool trick if ur bluffing on a drawy board haha

  • it's not cheating... Maybe he really do it accidentally, and If not, it's really creative game...

  • Learn some English, it's SPELLED fucking.

  • @luwinskii1 Dude Im no blaming you, but you has no idea what your talking..

  • @luwinskii1 The uploader is from Finland, I bet you couldn't type that well in his language.

  • @Eldomina22 Just between me and you, I'm only trolling these guys. They get pissed off so easily.

  • You BIG IDIOT!!!

  • @92Sweeper Actually i'm not even that big.. I'm not that tall at all

  • trollface.jpg

  • How're allowed to show your own cards. As fair as i know that's not cheating. It's just stupid.

  • you are very sure it was on purpose? didn't you see that both cards fliped over and he was lucky they stuck together? Why would he expose a losing hand? You are a moron

  • you guys are idiots:))..that's not even cheating

  • Trolololo

  • You're allowed to show cards .. Is that Darth Vaders light saber, or is that the dislike bar?

  • even if he did it on purpose, how is that cheating?

  • @buckfush187 Sir, offcourse its cheting. You'rer ingorant nooby.

  • @Milkou991 I didn't ask you if it was cheating. I said "HOW" is it cheating?

  • @buckfush187 Dude obiosly his cheating...Im not saying your bad, but i know more about this thing, im more expensired.

  • @Milkou991 lol you are fuking retarded

  • @MrThekilla882 Learn some england, it's is spelld "fucking".

  • @Milkou991 and you should learn some english

  • @MrThekilla882 I live in soviet russia, why does need I learn england?

  • @Milkou991 dude im not saying that he didnt do it on purpose, im just saying that technically its not cheating. cheap move.

  • @buckfush187 Are you talking about omaha? Because they aren't playing omaha as you can see.. dude..

  • why would he show when he's behind and about to bluff? Don't see the angle shoot here.

  • @UntilYouCollapse he flips it and says "whoa, thats one nine" ONE nine. as in he has 2, but thats only 1 of them. he put his opponent on a weak hand and was trying to pretend he had two 9s, by flipping one and making that comment. quite clever really

  • Daniel is FUCKING not Cheating!!!!!!!

  • how could he benefit from showing that 9???

  • It was definately an accident. His finger was stuck to the card

  • and then its not a cheat.. little doode

  • 77 people are completely retarded.

  • And now? Look him up?

  • I can't believe you would even think he would want to expose such a useless and weak card. He's in there against 1 player, and exposes a 9? On that board? What's the angle, because I'm missing it.

  • Hey may have dont that on purpose, there is no rule saying you cant show your cards until the end of the hand. So you cant call him a cheater... very mis leading.

  • lol it's cash game.. Basically players make their own rules.. Hence why u can run it as many times as u want

  • come on, you gotta be kidding! You do really believe this crap, do you? I think you should be punished for life for even suggesting bullshit like this. Get a life, Milkou991, you way over your head in crap already.

  • fail video

  • Get it over, Daniel should be punished as lifetime ban for poker fields.

  • @Milkou991 I like your theories. Except for the fact that they're kind of stupid.

  • @Milkou991 and why is that?

  • @Milkou991 can't figure out if ur trolling or just plain stupid

  • @BillaPunkSk8ter I don't understand you... Speak england please.

  • if i was playing high stakes poker i really wouldnt want to show everyone my hand.

  • you are allowed to expose one of your cards (or even both of them) to see the reaction of your opponent , its quite common actually .

daniel wanted to make it look like an accident but didnt manage to :-D

  • Usually in cash games you can expose cards if you want. I've been at tables where people will show one card if someone asks, I don't know why they would, but they do. If this was a tournament he'd have to muck his hand though.

  • This is a brilliant example of how to waste Youtube servers.

  • Other than having no motive to do this... if you watch the slow-mo you can see it took him about 0.5 seconds before he realized what happened, which is the normal human reaction time. I don't think he was acting.

  • whats the motive for cheating like this?

  • in high stakes cash games, players are more than happy when an opponent is willing to expose a card during game play. he was about to bet to buy the pot, but instead now has no showdown value and cant represent anything but K9. intentionally showing a card accidentally gives no edge to daniel here. video title is -dumb-.

  • How's this cheating, and it's obvious this was just an accidently slip. When he wanted to lift his hand he slipt it just a bit under the card and lifted it, that's why it flipped.

  • First, let's try using proper grammar and spelling words correctly? Second, it's a cash game, meaning they can do whatever the hell they want. Honestly.

  • Milkou991 you can suck my cock dumb mother fucker

  • he risks exposing both cards if it was intentional, then what?whats the angle?if anything it was a disadvantage exposing a 9 to that board, what did he gain?

  • keep beleiving your paranoid shit head

  • So? He showed his card and showing cards is cheating? Makes no sense. He is a great poker player, he doesn't even need cards to win. =)

  • Although the way this happens does seem weird, it is obviously not intentional, as showing the 9h and then go on raising would have been foolish on that board, as then he cannot be repping a hand to be raising big. Thus it was an accident although it did not seem as one.

  • It was no accident, Negreanu loves to mess with peoples minds, I am sure it was fully intentional and show your cards is allowed. It is just how he plays and I love his style!! It is certainly not cheating!!

  • Clearly this action needs some more in-depth analysis. I look forward to your next vid on it.

  • that was obviously an accident ...

happens to me alot too when your hands are sweaty the cards sometimes stick to your hands and you can accidentally flip them over

  • @fulltimespy true happens all the time... but it really looks like he slips his finger underneath the cards just when he reaches in his stack and lifts his hand simultanusly when he wanna put out the moneystack..

  • What made it suspicious was he quickly said out loud "that's one nine" volunteering additional information.

  • Does it matter?

  • stupid fucking foreigner needs to learn english

  • its cash game they can continue if they decide so.

but in turnament he will forced to fold after

  • your spelling is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well, i think he did that to make Eli think he has two nines. If i remember correctly, at the end Daniel won the hand. I don't like that move, even if it may be viewed as a help to Eli, it's not cool to do it intentionally which he clearly did and I don't care that it is allowed.

  • umm.. hes even allowed to turn one over and show if he likes, hell, he can show both his cards and still play if he likes..

  • you can see him look up before he does it

  • thats a nice lightsaber you have there... :P

  • The point is, why would daniel expose a weak card? "exposing his guy-shot".....oooooo!!

  • Is this video a level or are you serious?

  • And what? Lol.

  • screen shows he has the 9 of Hearts but flips a black 9??????????

  • @Bentcreeker1984 youre probably blind, asshole!

  • you need to change the title of this video, even if it was intentional it is still allowed. High stakes poker is in a cash game format in which the rules of the players outweigh the rules of the casino. In other episodes it is said player are allowed to talk about, show 1 or both of thier cards or comment on what other people may not have ( as long as it is heads up and they are in play) in a tournament format his hand would usually have been mucked, each casino has thier own rules.

  • its not even cheating its a smart move hes 1v1 your allowed to play how you want

  • An 8 on the river would pair Elezras 8 but give Daniel...OMFG...A STRAIGHT....DUH

  • ALL OF YOU LISTEN....I DIDNT SAY HE ALREADY HAD THE STRAIGHT...THERE IS STILL NO RIVER CARD...STRAIGHT POSSIBILITY STILL THERE....THE SHOWING OF THE CARD GIVES EXTRA INFO....LEARN TO READ IDIOTS

  • @MrSmitty5841 he wasint watching the card he was watching his money you idiot

  • donk''''

  • @vyle379. You are the sink who can't read. Daniel doesn't have to actualy HAVE the straight to make his opponent THINK that he does. Perhaps you need to learn how psychology of poker works. You don't need a good hand, but if you can make your opponent THINK you do, it makes their decision HARDER!!! That's part of poker, playing your opponent, not just you cards you idiot!!!

  • @MrSmitty5841 yea dude, there's no straight possibilities with that board....

  • Daniel loves to mind trick opponents if you look carefully you can see him flipping the card, why should be supposed to move that hand, to do what?! Great trick by Daniel, he's the best!

  • Yes it looks like he did it on purpose, cheating? That's a stretch. Mind fuck attempt? You betcha!

  • Card flips are not considered cheating as long as the cards presence is know to all players still In the hand . It is about mind games. With that board, Elezra might think Daniel has a straight, because he doesnt know what the second card is. However, the card flip is not illegal, it is just bad form, and It honestly helps your opponent in making a decision, whether they intend to fold or not.

  • @MrSmitty5841 I'm going to say this as nice as possible. There is no way Daniel could have a str8 with that board you fucking donk. You obviously don't know much about poker. Please invest in poker for dummies!

  • I think it was on purpose.

  • why the hell would he show a 9 on purpose? to show that he has a shit hand, as he throws a brick of cash in the pot? are you kidding?

  • This video is so ridiculous.

  • his fingers were placed on the cards pushing them together which will cause them to stick together because they are then air tight( you can see how the cards when flipped don't separate). Also his fingers were placed on it for a long enough time so that the top card stuck to his fingers do to the oils produced from the pores in our fingers. In conclusion this was a complete accident. Daniel didn't cheat

  • Cheating?!?!?! NOPE. Your a clown dick!

  • you f n idiot. find one more example. then let us talk

  • suppost to be?? wtf?

  • it was accident and video sucks the creator of it want us look to his fuckin video.it is boring

  • That was no accident guys see how he flips his cards without any reason. He obviously wanted to manipulate Elezra what was allowed for a pretty long time untill poker got flooded by all the wannabes and little cunts... So, everything is legal :)

  • hey look you got lightsaber

  • so what ? anyone can do that if they want too its a cash game !

  • in that circumstance...it was an accident, as he folded straight after hardly a cheat, and each player saw the card...his fault for showing the card but this does happen

  • NEGREANU WAS ABOUT TO RAISE BUT TOOK AN ARROW TO THE KNEE

  • "suppost"

    ...

  • See? You're retarded

  • Exposing your own cards is cheating? Before all the TV bred, Internet Geek, wannabe lawyer, crybaby cunts invaded this game, intentionally showing a card was an accepted tactic. Doyle, Chip and their ilk REGULARLY did it. It still should be allowed, as long as every player has the right to see it.

  • @rogerrodd but its not

  • @pablonbd Brilliant.

  • some casinos have a rule on showing cards..they will muck your hand if you show on purpose, so him acting like it wasn't on purpose many have helped him

  • In cash game, some casinos permit revealing your hand, but in most cases, only during heads up... This is a big no during WSOP.

Anyway, I don't see a point in him purposefully revealing that 9. There is not enough heart on the table to complete a flush, straight draw at best, much less any pair. If he shows that to incite reaction, I don't see the point of doing it at that stage with that hand and board...

  • Comment removed

  • when you are sitting there - your hands DO sweat.

  • So???? Why would you cheat like that anyway? Wtf? No rules against not showing a card on purpose anyway...my god...

  • It was intentional, but like the player below commented, it is not illegal heads up...it is a common psyche move. He could expose both cards if he chose to.

  • cus it wasent!!

  • this is not cheating ! its part of the mind game ! welcome to poker pro !

  • No le servia de nada mostrar ese nueve

  • It WAS an accident, but even if it wasn't, it's legal to show your hand if you are heads-up in this and most cash games.

  • obvious accident....in every single replay.....@milkou991 you're a moron

  • Ive played a lot of texas hold'em and i cannot figure out why someone would think that was intentional. What in the hell would he have to gain by showing a nine with that flop and turn? weakness? how could that help him win the hand?

  • how is showing your cards cheating ? :D DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • His hands were sweaty and the moisture caused his fingers to stick to the cards... no even intentional. plus he already knows what the other guy has because he always does so he is going to win...

  • suppost? man, either your english is bad, or your text english is bad, make up your mind

  • lol he coulda have wanted to reach his other hand to also grab the money but didnt know his hand was still on the cards. shit happens

  • Oh yeah, disliked and reported for wasting bandwidth.

  • Obviously it was a mistake idiot.

  • it depends on house rules, ive played tournaments where you cant show anyone your cards whatsoever. it becomes automatic muck.

  • you're allowed to show your cards anyways... so... you're... dumb...

  • i love poker and thought i understood all/most rules so could someone tell me if im wrong about this.. there his cards hows is this cheating? i thought u could do what u want with them but the idea was to hide them so ur opponent dosnt know how strong or weak ur hand is. also to add what would he gain from showing his cards?

  • Man that guy is a weasel, about as honest as a $3 bill

  • obviously stuck to his finger dumbass

  • and except of that "accidental" move too :D

  • i saw one time, Negreanu showed his cards and said not exactly: i have these cards... but opponent was on turn, and just wanted to raise... i think its a bit disgusting... but i like Negreanu except of that...

  • LOL, how does showing a 9 on that board help him in any way? Regardless he is allowed to show his cards in a cash game if he wants to, whether intentional or not, but clearly Negreanu would never be doing this intentionally in this spot.

  • You can do it in a cash game.

  • Yes i am sure that Daniel Negreanu would do that because he is probably a cheater and lets expose the 9 in a 34k pot considering at that point the best possible hand he could have would be K9 which would suck. Your a fucking dumbass for posting this. GET A LIFE!

  • @fattowle i think you are absolutly right. look how he reveals almost the both cards... now 89 on that flop an turn can't be good to show if you want to bluff and when you have straight draw on the turn and you bet than that its called a bluff or a semi-bluff and you don't want your opponent to know your cards so the conclusion is that milkou991 is a little bit retarded:)

  • The slow-mo part made this comically worthwhile, otherwise.... fuck you for posting this.

  • i really dont know if its intentional but it does kinda look like daniel is putting his finger under his holecards and lifts up his arms the moment he reaches in his stack his the other arm

  • My friend, once upon a time, a guy showed me 2 Aces pre-flop and asked me to not call his all-in, thats pretty standard in live tournaments, thumbs down for the video.

  • @TheDehzao Live tournaments?? You must be playing tournaments in some backwards ass casinos. It is a standard tournament rule that cards are not to be exposed.. If you are talking about playing a cash game at a casino, it is a different story

  • @PapaGeorgio89 Major tournaments like WSOP its just 10 maybe 15% of the live tournament games. And yes in big tournaments like this the rule is applied, but most tournaments are not held in Vegas with all those practicalities, and most casinos and poker houses allow it. But I have to agree the standard fancy rule is not to be exposed and should be applied every time, but it isn't.

  • You should play more poker...it happens all the time.

  • it makes no sense to show that card. fuck off.

  • Heads up most places don't even care if you show both cards. Nobody else is in the hand so it doesn't benefit anyone at all.

  • This is a cash game. The rules are much looser. In a tournament, this would not be allowed and the hand would be dead.

  • @random234 if the guy ask the dealer first it may be allowed

  • @TheDehzao Really? Even in a tournament?

  • why would he want to show his 9 to the table?

  • @eef5510 to mess with you it throws off your thinking

  • @RGwhelan15 omg, are you that simple? hey dude, i'm gonna kill you i'm a but 5'2 girl. just play some poker dude, or suck that dick and shut up about it

  • @eef5510 lol you think im joking. The reason it would be cheating is because some places say you can show your cards and some say you can't. So that why he acted like he didnt mean to show his 9 make someone think he has the straight draw. and you act like its simple but here you are just wondering why he showed his cards. Being simple would thinking he just didnt mean to do that. So he does just wants to make his opponent think meaning he isn't thinking the same way he he did.

  • that was a mistake, if he were to show one, why would he show a 9? doesn't make sense
