If employees really wanted to be unionized, they would do so with a secret ballot. Since the apparent long term goal of the unionists is for the workers to control the means of production, union members should be paid in company stock instead of cash. As a shareholder they will have a legitimate right to give input on wages, benefits, and the direction of the company. Of course they would also have a share of the risk for implementing those policies for a change.
