  • progressives ,i know that you are mosltly good ppl who belive in american democracy ,the constitution and the rule of law .

please spend a few hours reviewing the ongoing HOC's hearrings on the obama DOJ's "fast and furiouis "debacle ..with perhaps as many as three hundred dead mexicans to date ,i think you will agree that "slaughtergate" makes the most egregious of nixon's errors seem quite almost quaintly innocent by comparison ..pls see for yourself and then explain if you can ..

  • David PLEASE google 'The Authoritarians' for 4 DECADES of scientific research into the current conservative mind (the research was used by John Dean for his book 'Conservatives Without Conscience') - it explains SO much. And YES liberals are no way near as bigoted as right wingers and yes conservatives blindly follow their leaders - often aggressively so and are VERY VERY bigoted...

  • Hello. The founding fathers were CLASSICAL LIBERALS. The new left found that they could hijack definitions of words. Just keep saying it and sooner or later most people will accept it as fact. Was Hitler a conservative? Really. Seriously EXAMINE the policies of the ( national socialists party) = NAZI. Hitler was left wing as was Mussolini as was Woodrow wilson and F.D.R. Examine the POLICIES.

  • @cuddlyumpkins Yes Hitler WAS a conservative. Tell me how many of these traits are conservative and how many liberal?

'14 signs of fascism-The USA turning into a fascist country?' on youtube. Its SO typical if reality is against right wingers/conservatives - simply deny reality... You lot need to read lots and lots of science to cure your mental illness...

  • Hello. Really? Don't you read history? The very nature of your proggressive party is the creation of the state as GOD/nurturer.

  • Republicans and Conservatives would have a field day with the news of the particles traveling faster than light, if they only understood science...

  • Religious pandering has become strategic in Republican political positioning. A likened majority has become top priority regardless of the science involved. Scientific facts are skewed to promote a nonsensical inflamed majority influenced by pontification reminiscent of evangelical fundamentalist movement during the Reagan era. Evangelical reassertion is not on their to do list.

  • Tea Party and conservative ideology has absolutely become like a religion. These republicans live inside a bubble where logic and reason just don't penetrate, as it is with the strongly held religion. Bill Maher and Keith Olberman best emphasized this in Bill's show Real Time in a recent "New Rules" segment. Funny stuff.

  • has progressive big government marxisim become a religion ? did BHO just lend a half billion dollars of your money to a solar energy company that went bankrupt yesterday ? did the obama DOJ smuggle thousands illegal rifles into mexico ? did they just raid the gibson guitar co for legally and properly buying hardwood from india ? did they just blame the GOP for their lack of ANY economic plan ? did BHO find a way to circumvent congress to enact a "de facto" dream act ?,cap an trade ?new gun law?

  • @woodenmajor No, yes, no, dunno, they have a plan, dreams are for suckers, not an actual question, and not an actual question,,,

  • "Has American Conservatism Become a Religion?"

Does a hillbilly violate a goat?

  • Of course Conservatism is a Religion. Reagan is their God and FOX "News" is their Church.

Currently they're treating Republicans who say anything that doesn't fit their doctrine as if they are guilty of Heresy.

  • corpernicus*. not copernikins XD

  • @awsumpossum1 Copernican is defined as of or relating to Copernicus or the belief that the earth rotates daily on its axis and the planets revolve in orbits around the sun. Copernicans also refers to people who subscribe to this belief.

    David used the noun correctly.

  • @byssacpack he didnt say copernican he said copernikins, refering to the person who WAS persecuted, not his followers. :O! I love david haha, just a minor slip up

  • I don't think the same argument can be said of liberals at all - part of being left leaning is to be open to new ideas and to change one's position as more facts become available. at least that's how I am.

  • All this country is good at is religion. :(

  • "resistant to changes in objective reality" - there would be a POW!!!! graphic if Daivd was on Batman.

  • ...Has modern veganism become a religion?

  • You need to really look at your definition of extremism. You also need to be aware that the misrepresentation tactic about the Tea Party has all but completely blown up in the left’s face. You said racist, it’s well known that isn’t true. You said dumb, hillbilly, redneck, uneducated and it’s been proved 100% that isn’t true either. What you have not done is intelligently debated the message, but you are all too willing to attack the messenger.

  • @maconsumner You said not a grass roots organization, but rather a corporate funded front with a gullible but enthusiastic puppet base parroting the ideas of their corporate masters . . .oh wait a minute, that is true.

  • It's kinda funny when the same people who tout the "free market"... are also the ones who scream about globalism/NWO, but that's exactly the goal of the "free marketeers". It destroys things like the minimum wage and workers are (globally & nationally) competing with one another for more poverty wages. This is all great news for multinational corporations when you add in "less environmental regulation" and things like a flat tax or no income tax at all. Call it what it is: Free Market Globalism

  • Liberals deify individual decision-making by assuming that people aren’t rational in their choices, or that people will, when released from the pressures of a free market economy, take the broader social benefits and costs of their activities into consideration when making choices. It’s a faith-based position because there’s no historical evidence to support it, and overwhelming historical evidence against it.

  • It absolutely is. Seems that mid-evil methods of torture and death are implemented by way of political agenda without any real consideration on the outcome. Or is it that these individuals do understand, but are not willing to participate in a more robust and equal system of governess for the greater good.

  • Church of England is far more science accepting than catholics. They also allow gays to be part of the church. Lower Taxes does mean more revenue in small nations such as the caribbean tax havens, and the tax havens here in the british isles, the Isle of man has no corporation tax, personal income tax is flat at 20% and capped at about two hundred thousand dollars they also have a billion pounds surplus but they only have 80,000 people.

  • Is American conservatism becoming a religion? My question is when has American conservatism ever been anything but a religion? Conservatism's tenets, like how a unregulated market magically fixes all problems and magically works for the benefit of all people, and how lowering taxes on the rich will automatically lead to wealth for all, and how a reversion back to "traditional families" will solve all societal ills, is based on the same superstitious thinking at the heart of religion.

  • One important thing you forgot is the "Invisible Hand" of the free market, wich for some (mostly hardcore libertarian) is some kind of godfigure that must not be offended in any way by regulations.

  • "Has American Conservatism Become a Religion?"

    Yes. Next question.

  • Please do a interview with Gary Johnson.

  • RON PAUL..............

  • Strange that Ayn Rand, who was an outspoken atheist, can be a republican hero.

(I don't believe in god(s) either, but Ayn Rand is not the first spokes person I look to. She seems heartless / compassionless.)

  • DP nails this to a tee..

  • They rape kids. Catholics that is.

  • Fuck da Cons
