I've never gone to a live performance because really I'm the type of person who'd go for the music, and the studio recordings will in every single case be better than anything live ever with Surround sound. The only exception to this I've ever discovered is Metallica with an orchestra, and that's because they didn't have a situation to do a studio recording.
So it's not just Jimmy Kimmel, it's anything live as far as I'm concerned... compared to being spoiled by a studio recording on a CD.
I realize that live doesn't have the digital qualities as in the studio. I'm an audio production major, bro. And what you said that live never sounds as good, that's bull shit. Check out bands like Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Keith Urban, John Fogherty, oh man the list goes on. They sound fantastic live.
Don't really care what you are, the statement was that I've never heard a live performance reach the levels of a studio recording. Maybe it's a failure with the tech, the balance, engineers, singer doesn't know how to hold the mic right for his intonations, I don't know and I don't care. But really I'd love to hear live performances that are good. It would maybe make me actually want to go to one then. It's too much money to spend to hear bad performances to me.
I just suggested some stuff that's good live. You obviously didn't read my entire comment before you answered. Look, I'm not trying to start a war on YouTube, that's retarded. I'm just saying that, when it comes to live performances, it depends on the performer. Someone like Mariah Carey, or the acts that I listed before, or Carrie Underwood, these are great live acts. Check 'em out.
I appreciate that, but none of those bands are ones I would really see live, and the only one I would probably is Aerosmith and they're not exactly in a touring state right now. Sadly it's as you say, the skill of the singer in the situation, and it seems not many bands have training or whatever it is you need to sound good live. Metal in general sounds terrible live from my limited experience, and I've yet to hear of any really great live Metal or Hard Rock performances.
@nomojo1 linkin' park needs to figure out who stole their "BALLS!!!!!!!!!!" and do whatever it takes to get them back!!!!!!!!!!.....just sayin'!.....;-}
Their second album ''Light It Up'' has Rock'n Roll influences...but on songs like Hell Yeah and Light It Up are the most influenced by this old school genre,and let me say...they are very underrated couse are better than many(and i mean many )mainstream bands... but i remain their best fan,i buy their Light It Up CD, and i love it.
@IamCANADIAN013 Yeah I saw them open for a A7X and Buckcherry concert in CA, they tore it up, lead singer knows how to work the crowd. Wish my concert was an A7X and Papa Roach, no one likes Buckcherry lol
honestly. i would kill to see buckcherry, one of my fave bands, and im into all the 70's and 80's rock, they are, in my opinion, a dirtier, more sex filled version of aerosmith
ok dude i was there too they were pheonminal but not as good as godsmack like they were close but not as close as you say but they are my favorite band right now and i wanna see them again
Rockfest Crowd would make me die happy. Kansas city has the best festivals ever not because its all rigged out but because everybody is you and if you can't get a long with them at kansas city gatherings you can. HELL YEAH
Yeah these guys opened (along with atreyu) for a Buckcherry and Avenged Sevenfold Concert In San Diego a couple of weeks ago. I mainly went for A7X and I never heard of these guys but damn there good, Your right Phantasma360 the singer does know how to work the crowd good fucking energy...
saw these guy's back in march opening for buckcherry and it was more than sick. they're the next big band! them and charm city devil's are deffinetly going to be real big in 09!
i think it's funny these guys are on 11/7 records. which is Nikki Sixx's record label, and their new guitarists name is Rikki Lixx. hahaha i find it really funny. and he is damn good
I love this song but I always love to see the crowd shots when a band is playing on a show like this. Half the people look like they are in shock. The rest of the album is good by the way too.
good song, but they seem to give off a douchebag sort of persona..if you get what i mean.
