I designed the hitch after watching a bunch of videos and reading a few web pages that had some of the design aspects that I liked. There are very few exactly like it. Mine might be the first detailed video of this type of hitch, I'm not sure.
The pipe from the trailer to the quick coupler is the original tongue from the trailer but it's just a piece of steel pipe that's bent so a person could likely make their own pretty easily.

I like the use of "salvaged items", I like doing the same thing. I need to start working on one of these big enough to trailer my kayak.
