I was amazed by the japaneese. They took this case with such calmness. Their coach later said,some japaneese players should had have played better. And only mentioned on the sideline, that they are looking forward to have video referee at theese matches.
"a crease violation which was obsurd" :) - players are not allowed in the blue area in the front of the goalie. Just read the rules.
The third Japanes goal should have been accorded, indeed. Great respect for the Japanese players, coaches and public, as they received that astonishing decision with dignity.
Yes I understand it happens in every sport. I think Hungary played a great game and they were the better team throughout most of the game. I think the IIHF did not have the right referee for an important game, and the IIHF has done nothing to accept responsibility. Nothing is said about the 2 goals disallowed from that game in the IIHF website.
I wish Hungary luck against Croatia today and Ukraine tomorrow.
FYI: Poland has better hockey then both Hungary and Japan. The problem wasn't the ref, rather the IIHF rule that forbids video referees in Div.I. tournaments.
Wrong, the Hungarian and Japanese national teams have been more successful than the Polish program in recent years. Polish hockey has been on the decline for a while.

This is a huge mistake by the referees. Even though I must say, it was really lucky for us hungarians
