  • Roberto Potichio on drums. (sp) I met him in Berklee in mid 70s. He played with a the top Berklee ensembles. Nice cat, but he died a few years after Maynard, I heard. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • those are some pimp glasses!

  • It absolutely is the Ontario Place Forum in Toronto Canada. Woody Herman and his Young Thundering Herds also played there many summers with such greats as Greg Herbert (saxes), Tony Klatka (arranger of Chick Corea's La Fiesta for big band) and Allen Vizzutti (trumpet supreme in the same range as Maynard!). Many jazz rock acts also performed there, such as Blood Sweat & Tears Toronto's Lighthouse. It was a terrific place for concerts surrounded by bench seats and a grass amphitheatre.

  • this is in Ontario Place at the old revolving stage where the price of admission about $4.00 to Ontario Place include admission to the revolving stage.Buddy,Carla,Sonny rollins,Basie,Kenton,Sarah Vaughn,Jaco Pastorius,Pat Matheny,Ornette Coleman ,etc all played there.

  • jefe de jefes

  • this may be more like '79 or '80 cause Louie Carfa is playing bass.

  • I love him.

  • Great cover... even the Boss is far to be a "perfect crooner".

I ever like the "Maynard alternate lyrics" with short allusions to his real own life ("Stan Kenton made me a star")... and the funny words about, here, Bo Dereck (on the recorded version I have on cd, the "sex symbol" in the song is not Bo Dereck... but the more x-rated Linda Lovelace).
