  • Why'd he make such a big jump...? From 225 to 237.5 seems like such a big gap, especially when he could've attempted something smaller on his second try and then gone for 237.5 on his third.

  • @LayEmOut60 I agree with you. It is understandable that he started with 225 KG since that would be enough to win the competition, but he needed to break into the 237.5 KG. Unfortunately when you are the last man standing you don't get more than two minutes between lifts, so he could not have done one behind the scenes. He should have sacrificed the second lift at 232.5 KG, then attempted 237.5 for world record. If you don't get the world record on the first attempt, the second is always worse.

  • @Randomstevie Make your comments without bad-mouthing.

  • The Soviet sports establishment was not to be trusted due to the use of anabola steroids

  • @Faramarzrastin people like you make me sick. The ONLY thing anabolic steroids allow you to do is train harder. Taking steroids isn't a crime, it's that drive for that extra kilo. But whatever. Like you idiots will ever understand.

  • @RandomStevie In many sports, it is a crime.

  • He is a superhuman human.

  • Failed 237.5 twice but impressively, did rack the load. Equal to the best of any USA superheavyweight in the full lift!!! He and Kakhiasvili both did 235 at 90 but Kak's was more impressive due to the power jerk. Barcelona, Spain, 1992.

  • @skirts365 They must've given the official record to Khrapaty because of bodyweight I'm supposing?

  • wow!
