i cant comment since i m still flying floater..but thats why we must always have extra speed when in landing app..but i dont u/stand, you are already in trim speed for too long and alredy slow down, why flare that late..
only the one who is on the wings know how many impulse you have an the strenght of the air to make a loop like that, and to have the cold blood to do it, and then to master the landing perfectly, wlaking with out disturbances, not even by the floor. cheers, big ten. perfect landing
Yikes. Pretty cool the way you casually knocked the down tubes after landing to knock the sagebrush off. THANKS for posting, one of the best ways to learn ... by watching mistakes ... Hopefully mistakes I can avoid. Nice landing, too. Cheers!
Thank you for showing us your error and explaining how you made it. To the viewers who don't see how this could have been crippling or fatal, well, get some lessons and listen to the older guys and they'll explain it to you. If it doesn't scare you away from the sport, welcome aboard and happy thermals to you!
how would hitting a bush kill him? It didnt seem like he was going too fast that hitting some brush would be life threatening, Sure, an injury, but death?
@LSUcHamp606 -- It's not hitting the bush with your feet that kills you.
It's hitting the rocks with your face 0.1 seconds later.
(Yes, he could have survived even if he had hit the bush. It's possible he could have even been uninjured, if he was lucky. But it's far from a certainty. You just don't want to be that out of control and in a potential face-plant condition at the same time.)
Must have missed it. I was too busy clicking ads off the screen to see what happened.

I think you would have cartwheeled, wrecked your kite and have been a general loser. Likely would have walked away though

if you turned faster, i suspect your left wing would maybe be a tad lower, and struck the ground causing a groundloop?

You were VERY lucky in your turning, not to touch any bush. Else it could have been a fatal crash.
marouges 9 months ago 6
@marouges not fatal but rather lot of scratches
stealhty1 3 months ago
@marouges Why would it have killed him? He was going pretty damn slow and obviously low.?
tek5828 1 month ago
@tek5828 It wouldnt have killed him but it would have broken something
IamLincolnLand1 2 weeks ago
@marouges Wouldn't have been fatal unless he was very unlucky.
