@dudewutyeah It's done with the Equaliser function. The instrument is isolated by isolating the frequency band containing that instrument's sound. So to isolate a kick drum or bass guitar you would cut out mid-high frequencies and to isolate say a lead guitar or hi-hat you would cut out low-mid range frequencies. Hope this helps!

Because of the ciliated cells' destruction, the mucus cannot move out of the lungs and the bacteria accumulate causing infection and consequently illness. Aside from this I can find nothing wrong with weed in my own experience

Would anyone who is a fan of DJ Shadow's works take offense if some of these beats were used for a song? I mean as in to rap over. I would obviously make it something meaningful. It's hard to find good beats like these that make you just relax and enjoy the music and feelings it brings to you. So would anyone feel offended if I were to write some lyrics over this and put it on a mixtape?

If it ever becomes 'that good' and you wanna sell it--- then by law you'll have to ask shadow, but for now I think you should make music in whatever way you want to make it--- not how others tell you you should. Its just a proportion drop off--- long time ago it would have been illegal for Shadow to do what he did.

i really feel i should apologize to history...how could i have passed up on such a forgotten jewel like this? ive never heard something like this...and now im that much more inspired and knowledgeable of the subtle and beautiful combinations of harmony, rhythm and melody...based on many samples and excellent production (if thats the word)...truly worth listening to this :D

This song does give u a kind of trippy feeling right? I used to sniff bleach and other really bad shit.I tried stop but the craving was so great. If i kept doing that, i could have fucked up my life. Now i listen to this song every once in a while, it gets rid of my craving. not gonna lie, DJ Shadow saved my life.

Not that you'd notice as being stoned is largely like having a head cold. It's a crap drug.

Your consideration of weed being "dull" is merely an opinion, some consider it to provide thoroughly enjoyable experiences. It doesn't stink, I use a vaporizer, it doesn't smell at all. It can make you lazy if you allow it to. There's also no scientific proof for THC related immunodeficiency in recreational doses.

@MrSlurmsMacKenzie I think what Pooknottin is saying 'it makes you ill' is that, with anything you smoke, it destroys the ciliated cells in the lungs (due to the heat) and these help move mucus (which has trapped microbes and bacteria) out of the lungs. Because of the ciliated cells' destruction, the mucus cannot move out of the lungs and the bacteria accumulate causing infection and consequently illness. Aside from this I can find nothing wrong with weed in my own experience
