@Rutle cheers Catherine, I am not a trucker but do drive a bit in my job, I can imagine it is a lonely job, loads of time just thinking......listening to music, radio . I do get alot of ideas for songs whilst driving, sometimes I just have to pull up and write them down .
I have a vague recollection of Thurso either on the way up to or back from John O' Groats. I remember the big joke for us was how everybody in Scotland talked about the great distance between places. A couple hundred miles was made to seem like a big deal, when it was merely a quick trip to people like us from Montana. I would gladly travel that far to hear this song performed live. Next time I'm in Scotland, maybe.
@songblurred yes , it is up the top near John O` Groats , I have`nt been there for over 40 years ! I live way south :) maybe 5 hours away ,and I would welcome you here anytime ! Thank you .
I used to travel from Ayrshire to Thurso 2 or 3 times a Year, if only it was 4 and half hrs
