what a fucking nub. Anyways, the sound you are hearing is mainly the intake. There's a big difference. My friend has a CAI on his 2.2 and a stock exhaust (it's silent). You can hear his intake from a half-block to a block, depending on throttle.

I just found one in italy hope i get to see it next week maybe buy it ... it's a 2,8 with 2o4 Hp (I think !?! ) just a beast ... one of my friends's uncle had one of these even now he regrets he sold it ... it's made for burning rubber and having fun...oh and the sound depends on the mufler u have or the exaust but Bi-turbo sownd is ... just fantastic

Well those italina cars lack everyday drivability and reliability such a BMW 525 is so fast, it does not need any faster car, but the VR6 I had before was just to slow and it even had Shrick Cams and Chip and sports exhaust...that was sad. (We tested the engine on the rolling road for 211 HP but it still was slower than the stock BMW 525 and 325.

Those VR6 12 Valve engines just do not have enough torque compared to other 6 cyl. engines oft its size...a BMW 325i from 1993 has more HP and torque (!) than a Golf VR6 2,8..thats not funny...even a chiped and cammed VR6 is slower than a BMW 325i or Alfa Romeo 75 2,5

vr6 engines can take a lot of crap, if they have been maintained properly.

Redlining it some time can even be good for the engine. If you drive low RPM all the time your engine will get lazy.

They probably spend lots of engineering time and money(a lot more than anyone on youtube) deciding what is safe for the rev limiter.

volkswagengolfgolfMk3 don't comment again, when the engine hits its redline, it cuts spark/fuel, it doesn't have a magical stopper at redline. so when you pin it up to redline like that, in most cases the engine will actually overspin the redline. Its a lot different to do a controlled test like at the factory and slowly bring it redline and hold it there, then it is to free rev and slam it into the rev limiter. kids have no respect these days, and by the looks of it he can't afford to do that.

Hritch so that you know, the engines, unless you have touched them, dont blow up if u redline them for 2 or even 10 seconds. There are engines that last for 5 minutes on redline until they blow!
