I have listened to this album very carefully, and noted the effect of this song on me and many others . . . there is a reason it is so moving. Mr. Williams makes several references to being very ill on this album, and on the DVD version seems to hint VERY strongly that he might be on his way home quite soon (look for "Tell the Angels, Part 8"). So, I'm guessing he put everything into this song and performance, knowing it might be his last. But he was premature -- he recovered (thank God)!

One June 3, 2009 this song was playing and I began to cry while on my way to see my aunt in the hospital and could not understand why until I received a call telling me my favorite aunt had passed before I could make it. I feel that this was her way of telling my that she was leaving me, because she always told me that this world was not her home but she was just stopping by. Love this song and Love Lee Williams! If you have never seen him in concert, all I can say is Lord Have Mercy!

I love this song b/c it makes me think about my cousin,who was also my bestfriend, that I lost a couple years ago and how we use to call each other everyday and night. Now, he's gone and when I hear this song I think about my Mother and Him. I can now longer pick up the phone to call and talk to them. I saw the history channel yesterday and to make a long story short the show was about the history of rifles. One of the major points that stuck out was the new weapons were only good if they acquired the foundation of the old...

I beleive that the gospel of today need to inquire the foudation of the older saints. That the lifestyle was more important than just making a song (the world does that...)for sales. But for the gospel its a lifestyle...
