In a society that does not encourage choral music education, this at least gets kdis to sing and perhaps feel comfortable enough to do so in a choir or even solo. Children's ensembles have been singing "adult popular" music for centuries - Look at the English and the Cathedral choirs - but yes, I sure wouldn't want them to sing a Mass by Mozart or Beethoven - but if even one kid takes this and goes with it and encourages others to sing its a good thing.
