Hi, I have the Ac3D(full version), but i can't make triangle file. Always show an error message: "Can't Open file c://... writing", when I try to export it to triangle. I try to export an AC3D sample, the ship. What is the trouble?
I Know This Is Sort a Proper Noob Question But How Do You Model Guns In Ac3d. I Have tried Most Good Modeling Programs (Maya,3ds Max, Xsi.....etc But Ac3d Is The Only I Liked So I Don't Want To Go Back 3ds Max I Hate It I Don't Feel Comfortable Using.
I went from Ac3d to 3ds Max and at first I preffered Ac3d much more easier to use but with 3ds Max it's just getting used to it and then you can model anything you'd like. Check my videos for an example. In Ac3d you should start out with a box and then cut segments and extrude planes to get the basic shape.
Yes - It's not a solution for building everything but for showing someone a CAD model or making small models which could then be edited, it's very useful.
