I wish we'd go back to the old days..when one factory churned out 2cvs, or VW beetles, or model Ts, for 30 or 40 years, and they were cheap enough anyone could afford them. Simple, fuel-efficient, reliable, and comfortable. That's all we need. The 2CV was barely changed over what, 30 years? Simple, minor changes for refinement, but it as the same basic car for ages. And so it could be made and purchased for cheap. Good times.

@redreaper2020 -- I agree, I fear we're regressing, more is NOT always better, like choice for the sake of vanity and ego and materialist indulgence -- so we have vast waste and inefficiencies, we cannot govern ourselves better but to be ruled by tyrants & scoundrels who sell-out our liberties to feed their bellies and lust for power, so we have horrific wars like Afghanistan & Iran, so American he-men can take their overbuilt jeeps mountain-climbing ... Sheer idiocy, we've lost our Way.
