  • You cannot institutionalize beauty. It's impossible.

  • The funny thing is there is nothing holy about god anyone who can read the bible could easily see this but for some reason people actually think he is.

  • I too am a Christian not a very good one but I am trying! But I find the whole thing makes more sense if you just look at what Christ did and what Christ preached! rather than what Father Mcpeado down the church thinks! Or the Nazi Pope!

  • On another note God gave you a brain to think! Catholic church say "don't ask this ask that!" I wonder if she talks about about the spanish inquisition in her memoir! I respect Anne's philosophy but you don't need to be catholic to believe in God! In fact you could argue the catholic church is a enemy of chistianity twisting Christs messege!

  • I kind of get what shes saying at 3.40. I am and I think everyone is very sensitive, And sometimes people can be really nasty, especially as I come across as perhaps being quite a nice simple person but I really do go for the jugular when someone upsets me I do dish it back out tenfold and I should really learn to be more tolerant.

  • I'm not sure about writing this. I don't know if my words would ever reach you. I don't know if you would ever care... But all I wanted to say is thank you. You've been my inspiration for many years, even though I'm only 21.

    Thank you.

I must sound kind of mental... But my native language is not english, so... Sorry if my english is not correct.

I would like to, someday, tell you why I admire you so much. Although I know I'm not the only one.... Someday. ^^

    Salud,

    Gabriela.

  • I'm looking to "St. Anne" right now for writing inspiration!

  • Great Video.

  • Anne, I envy your grace towards others. When you were talking about being hurt by what people said, my first thought was "But do they not deserve to be hurt? They hurt you, so why be nice to them?". Aaand thats where I get confused ^^;

Maybe I'm being too cynical. Because I always see others taking advantage of nice people for their own selfish reasons, and the only way to avoid that is to...well...not be so nice. Still confused.

  • "Forgive them, for they do not know what they do" a famous quote from someone Anne Rice believes in :)

  • I suppose she is a true individual who makes up her own mind, creative people have that kind of double edge to them! People are now shocked shes a christian not only that but shock horror a catholic!

  • i dont like wat anne rice has become she was so much cooler when she wrote the vampire chronicals

  • We feel the same for Lestat. I don't know about the personal circumstances behind this change in her but I hope that it all blows over and she writes about vampires again... after seeing how religiously fanatic some people can be and how difficult it is for them to change their views (believe me, I've met a few catholic priests) I feel that Anne Rice may never be the same again.

  • you would be a good nun, or a sister in a catholic church/school.

  • When you spoke about beauty in God's creation, I was reminded of the words I sent you in a letter, and even more of the words of your character Pandora, as she ponders beauty and seeks secrets of the world and truth.

Your letters, books, and videos have been a great inspiration to me over many years.

    Wendy.

  • I'm encouraged by your posts. How do we know what we will have to say to one another in Heaaven? How do we know whether our language will be music or words?

  • Good point, I never thought of that. I hope it will be words, I am more capable of communicating this way.Nobody really wants to see me on guitar again, I am quite sure!

  • I share this hope, and also look forward to one day having a conversation with you.

  • We all have regrets similar to those you shared, of course. This pain is within me, and common to us all. Accepting Grace and Forgiveness has always been hard for me, one of my biggest stumbling blocks. I find I am able to forgive everyone, except for myself! The great Randy Alcorn states in his book , "Heaven", that he looks forward to meeting and having a great conversation with his most respected writing example, C.S. Lewis, one day.

  • THANK YOU! For sharing your expireinces!

  • I love these videos, thank you :D
