I Hate this disease it took my Daddy in less than a year at 71 . he passed away July 24 2008 , and I miss him so.,..... IN LOVING MEMORY ofJOHN W FREEMAN
Thanks for sharing the photos and video from the trip. You should be very proud of what you have accomplished. You have helped bring this disease into the spotlight.
P.S. Ken, where was the Red Socks Hat? I almost did not recognize you.
Ken and Glenda, what an awesome task and journey you took! I cried through the whole video, I lost my mother to ALS November 2003. Your courage inspires me. Your courage will help you through this disease. Think of how many people now know a little more about ALS today than prior to your journey. I believe Awareness is key to helping find a cure. God bless you and your family. Sonia, British Columbia, Canada
Ken and Glenda - my dad, Dan Funicello met you this past month in Washington DC and has been talking about you ever since. You have been a real inspiration to him and I greatly thank you for that!
Hi Ken and Glenda, I watched this video with tears and such pride. As a daughter of the most wonderful daddy to ever live on this earth--Arnold Hodes, I thank you. My dad entered heavens gate on May 5, 2006. He fought the disease with dignity and such courage and faith. I know he is applauding you from heaven and I thank you with all my heart. Love, Debbie Hodes-Wewer
Ken, You are inspiring. I also have ALS and your journey has given me hope and motivation to continue with my own journey of life. I appreciate how difficult this was and that it was made possible by the loving support of Glenda and your team. Kudos to all. We must advocate for an all out war against ALS and other neuromuscular diseases that rob us of our bodies and advocate for increased funding for research to find a cure and allieve the life threatening symptons of ALS.
