  • This is where rock music should be nowadays.... My Morning Jacket is a very special thing indeed. Inexplicably special. I get chills for real.

  • how many nights can a soul so full of life remain untouched?

  • Incredible mix of hi-fi, 80's synth, reflective songwriting and of course, vintage capes.

  • Nice song::

    But Better Cape =D

  • Their best song!

  • i'm in love with this song completely. i feel less hopeless.

  • JJ is such a weirdo, but his voice is just unreal...

  • My favourite MMJ song. What's that effect on his voice? Or is it just double tracked?

  • Ming 746 and 1989.you guys are ignorant and close minded.plain and simple.there are tons of great bands around today that are very diverse.I suggest you guys hang out with cooler people that have good taste in music who might can steer y'all in the right direction.

  • 2 dislike that to much

  • @ctnipe66 You see exactly as much good music now as you ever did. And you also see exactly as much garbage as you ever did (read: most of it).

I see a comment like this on just about every video and I couldn't disagree more. If you have trouble finding good music these days, you must not be looking for it.

  • @LlamamanFilms and holy tits there is so much good stuff i can't wrap my ears around it

  • @LlamamanFilms And there is so much, I'm in love again every day

  • @LlamamanFilms that tiny comment didn't really need that much attention....

  • @LlamamanFilms you are nuts. todays music in all genres sucks and sounds the same right off the assembly line. you have no variation is the problem. where back in the 70s 80s and even 90s you had all different types of music. ac.dc to phil collins to micheal jhackson to inxs to the ramonres. everything was different now it all sounds the same. pure garbage. enjoy your crap music. ill enjoy the classics from yesteryear

  • @ming746 well im with you, except this band and death cab for cutie, i think they're great bands, unfortunatly in a time and place where they don't sell

  • @ming746 Says a Phil Collins fan.

  • @ming746 ...Doesn't the word "genre" itself imply that bands within a genre are going for a certain sound? And if you can't find as big of differences in today's music as you see from ACDC to Phil Collins to Michael Jackson, to INXS, to the Ramones... well, sir. I think you are quite wrong. Safe to say that My Morning Jacket doesn't sound much like Kanye West, or Wavves, or Bon Iver, or Ingrid Michaelson, or Janelle Monae, or Justin Timberlake, or the Swell Season. Good day.

  • @ming746 The mainstream music all sounds the same anymore, but back then mainstream music was more about bands like this...Good singers and songwriters. Good music isn't rare in these times by any means, it's just nowadays the great music isn't publicized, you have to look for it. Good music is always out there and will always be made, it doesn't just come from one era.

  • @ming746 And to say that the 70's and 80's had more diverse music is not true, considering all of the different genres that came out after those times, inspired by those time. There are more genres of music now than before.

  • @LlamamanFilms Well it's true that we have as much garbage and as much good music as we did some years ago, the good music that has emerged has seen an increase in the crappy music aswell , all of this works in proportion, thkfully now u can easily find a great band because searching is so much easier with internet and what not :)

  • @LlamamanFilms yeah I mostly agree. One has to be willing to look far and wide for good music, but it sure is out there. As for good rock n roll, I must say it's mostly dead.

  • @LlamamanFilms to true to true...and at times you are presented with a band that you wonder who you could have ever missed

  • @LlamamanFilms The problem is now that you have to look for good music and the general public just dont have that extra push

  • @jjbad37 the general public has always had bad taste in music. Sometimes they latch on to something and many times they destroy it. However, back in the 70's disco became the popular language, and was what mostly covered the airwaves but there was music that was not known to most that was beautiful and a few years later it would end up surfacing to the populous and then the populous would destroy it. Thus the cycle goes.

  • Really nice they are from nearby Louisville.

  • awesome band...glad there are still real musicians out there

  • Whew! I love these guys...so much incredible talent! Great music.

  • Such an amazing live !!

  • this song is so addictive. it's seriously stuck in my head :-) Jim James is such a brilliant singer / song-writer. There are only a few singers in this age with a voice as talented and unique as his. Thank you My Morning Jacket for inspiration, keep it up! Much love from Houston,TX

  • oh snap hes a beatboxer lol
