  • Not only has sports lost a great man but MANKIND as a whole lost a great man. We can honor him by teaching our children about the horrors of predjudice and bigotry and the rewards of humility. That's just what Coach Haskins wanted. They don't make them like this anymore and ALL OF SPORTS owe him a "thank you". Dr. Naismith may have invented basketball but "The Bear" invented and pioneered the way the game should be really played....WITH YOUR BEST PLAYERS regardless of color or cree. RIP COACH :(

  • El Paso has lost a great man!

But the Angels in heaven have a great coach to teach them Full Court Press!

  • One of the giants!

    So underated.

    Genius.

Coached at a small school for decades even though he had offers from larger ones.

El Paso should re-name one of the major roads/highways in his honor.

He was the David going up against the Goliaths year after year.

    RIP Mr. Haskins.

    UTEP supporter in San Diego.
