The Bear ...we love you..... we miss you....say hi to the Jeep for me.....and if Coach Rupp wants to have a rematch in heaven ....just take it easy on the yelling we can still heat the thunder down here
He was so nice... hew was a family friend of our (we used to live in el paso) and he would come to all of our parties and small events... I didn't know how famous he was until i saw the movie Glory Road... my dad had lunch with him all the time ... when i found out he died i was crushed.... RIP
Not only has sports lost a great man but MANKIND as a whole lost a great man. We can honor him by teaching our children about the horrors of predjudice and bigotry and the rewards of humility. That's just what Coach Haskins wanted. They don't make them like this anymore and ALL OF SPORTS owe him a "thank you". Dr. Naismith may have invented basketball but "The Bear" invented and pioneered the way the game should be really played....WITH YOUR BEST PLAYERS regardless of color or cree. RIP COACH :(

One of the giants!
So underated.
Genius.
Coached at a small school for decades even though he had offers from larger ones.
El Paso should re-name one of the major roads/highways in his honor.
He was the David going up against the Goliaths year after year.
RIP Mr. Haskins.
UTEP supporter in San Diego.
