"Loser" President Clinton had approval ratings in the 60's, even during the impeachment. Bush today sits at about 28%. Do the math.

turdmonster, the UK had evidence about what Germany was doing all the way back when Hitler came to power in the early 1930s. Churchill had the evidence even then and presented it in full, and he was ridiculed in Parliment. If they had said, "We must do something," then things would have been different; there would've been more international unity against Germany, and Hitler could've been contained without much (or any) bloodshed.

The comparison between Chamberlain and war-dissenters is just wrong-- HOW could the UK alone have stopped Hitler, considering that the USSR had signed a non-aression pact, the US was isolationist, and France was unwilling to commit troops. Chamberlain's policy was very popular in the UK-- Hitler wasnt seen (at that time) as the monster he is now.
