I made a paper one. The thing is, that the side, that acts like a hinge and the base side have to make a 90 degree angle. And it should also be made out of thicker cardboard, then it would work :)

If you're worried about it scratching your iPod/iPhone, you think it looks ugly or you didn't bend it just right so it wobbles slightly, try sliding a drinking straw over it. It makes it a lot less wobbly, makes it look less ugly ( Bonus points for colored ones ) and it makes it safer to rest your device on.
