In Truman Capote's book, A Christmas Memory, this is the woman who was "Buddy's" (Truman's) friend --usually referred to as Sook by Truman. She was portrayed by Geraldine Page in the TV movie A CHRISTMAS MEMORY and THE THANKSGIVING VISITOR. Page won an Emmy Award portraying her. Truman wrote of her that she never traveled more than 5 miles from her home and never saw a picture show. And here she is on THE TONIGHT SHOW! What a life!

@zigfried64 : This is not the same cousin in "A Christmas Memory" the one in C.M. was Cousin Sook. This cousin, Marie Rudisill, was called "Cousin Tiny" because she was small and delicate. She lived in the same house with Truman for awhile when she was around 13 yrs. old. Isn't she a hoot!

@krallstello I thought it was odd that Truman wrote of Sook dying a few years after he was sent to military shcool; "A morning arrives in November when she cannot rouse herself to exclaim, "Oh my, it's fruitcake weather." But the fact that she is called Fruitcake Lady and she was one of Truman's aunts sure made it sound like she was Sook. Of course Sook was alive back in the 1880s so it would be impossible for her to be on The Tonight Show with Leno and Cruuise. THanks for clearing that up.
