@cosmin0192837465 go into the Logitech software and make sure its configured properly before launching LFS. The CD that came with the wheel will have the relevant software. If you dont have the CD you can download the required software from the logitech website. If all that is ok then check the AXIS controls in game under the Controls Menu.

LOL! I think that don't exists a perfect drift simulator. Like I can see in this video, drifting in LFS it's very very very easy! =| In real life is not that easy!

@fungoxD Drifting in LFS is not easy, it takes a lot of practice. Real life is more difficult, I've tried it. LFS is only easier because you can crash your car or abuse the transmission without consequences.

@TiJayLFS locked but you can still drift with other setups, its just easier for me on locked.

@ohnoes300c Thought so. Cheers for the setup, it's brilliant. It's not as much of a handful as my previous drift setup (SWC's from Setupfield), it gets to extreme angles easier and stays there. It can also pendulum without the second or third transition becoming uncontrollable. And it's much more steerable on the throttle. Awesome setup :)

@Gunadd1ct im not a mechanic but the way i understand it is locked diff is when both wheels spin together at the same time regardless of traction. I like it better cause cause the cars more predictable. I know what its going to do at certain speeds going sideways. On a limited slip diff when one wheels spinning faster than the other torque gets transfered. Thats why it flicks like crazy when you doing things like choku doris. I can drift with LSD or Open Diff but i prefer locked.

@Gunadd1ct the LSD is almost completely locked, the wheels spin independently but not as much as a regular diff. its a combination of locked and open diff i think..if anyone thinks ia m wrong please correct me I would like to know more about it

@ironhidef1 LSD works like if one wheel is turning more the other wheel by X percent, it will lock the diff.

@MattySP34Ks nice. I made mine out of old desk furniture thrown out from work so I just slapped it together for a free cockpit. Was only the seat that I really actually spent money on lol. The PC im using in this clip is just a Pentium 4 with a gig of ram and an "el" cheapo $60 1gb gfx card cause LFS doesnt need a powerful system. I might buy another G27 and post up another vid using my 50inch plasma lol.

@XMidnightCobraX That sound is actually mimicking the lack of a blow off valve. When a turbo charger is all spun up (and doesn't have a blow off valve) and all of a sudden the engine stops getting gas (the driver cuts the throttle), the pressurized air has nowhere to go. So, the turbo charger makes a whistling sound as it slows its rotation. Having a blow off valve would sound more like the sound of opening a bottle of soda, because it opens up the intake allowing the pressurized air escape :)

@xXSkinnyMeXx np. Try Out LFS on PC if you do buy a G27. You wont regret it. G27 + LFS drifting helped save me from writing off my 300c. I aquaplaned one night on the highway in the wet going sideways at 100km/hr and i didnt even skip a heartbeat. It was amazing how calm I was in that big silver tank facing the barrier at that speed. It felt normal going sideways waiting for the right moment for throttle and steering input. Its actually easier going sideways at highspeed than it is at low speed

Im like WTF, over here they want 150-180K and AUS dollar is higher at the moment. So gay. Horrible graphics... I don't get simulations being way too simple. I mean if its realistic, at least make it look as real and not like an arcade game cuz when I saw Lfs at 1st I thought it was a joke. While for GAMES like Shift 2, forza 3 or Gran turismo 5, they have perfect graphics, just lack of simulation... now if LFS had graphics as good as those games, it would be KING.

@xmodmodifier one of the best features LFS has is that you can customise almost everything in the game to suit how you need it to look. You can move the camera, you can make it LHD or RHD, you can change positioning of the seat, how much of the windscreen you want to see, you can change the position of your rear vision mirror. You can use the IR Tracker and look around the car depending on your head movements as though you were seated in the car and you can choose the amount of fuel in the car.

@xmodmodifier You will never get this type of flexibility in so called simulators like Forza and Gran Turismo. How the car feels to drive in LFS depends on how well you set the car up, and it feels just like a real car. I can set the car up to react and behave exactly like my 300c. The engineers behind LFS focused more on the car physics than the graphics which makes it perfect for people like me who want the closest thing to real. The last time I burnt rubber it cost me $1600. LFS = free.

@Armixs i learned how to drift in this game in only about 6 hours with my driving force gt wheel at 720 degrees of rotation.... i can drift a large donut going around about 3 times and somewhat drift on the track.. i thought drifting was suppose to take a lot longer to learn?

@BlurryShadow1 Learning Drift 101 should only take 30 mins tops. The thing I hate most about the Force GT is the gear stick is mounted too close to the steering wheel, there is no clutch pedal for clutch kicking and the pedals do not have alot of pressure pushing against them especially in the brake as they use a tiny spring for resistance. The G27 has three pedals that offer alot more resistance due to its design. 1 x Gas, 1 x Brake and 1 x spare brake pedal (haha) nah a clutch.

All my gear is being sold on ebay, im including the cockpit and drift seat and 5.1 surround speakers for free cause the G27 needs to be in one. Its not the same without it. If you are in Australia you will have to pick it up yourself and dismantle it. Search ebay for "G27 Logitech Steering Wheel Shifter and Pedals" or 180613027302

@mynameisray Now I know what you were talking about lolol. In the GTR test there is no need for the use of the clutch to change gears only when you are shifting backwards. I just use the clutch by habbit but I dont need it. I only have to use the clutch when Im approaching a corner or it wont change, also allow heel toe to stablise the car or I'll eat the barrier. Ive set that game up as though the gearbox is a dog box. Sorry thought you were trolling but you were actually very observant lol. TY
