Remember that this would have never happened if people like Monica Conyers had succeeded in prevented the building from being transferred from the city to a regional authority.

I guess having a center that showcases the waterfront location, attracts more events and keeps the auto show is something we'll have to accept for having the city "lose all control to the evil suburbs," which is not inflammatory at all considering Detroit has an equal say on the regional board.
