No, this siren is electronic made.

I dont actually hear what you mean, but there's good possibility you hear the echo's and the soundvolume adaptations of the camera because of the cow.

In real, the siren is just stable.

From the very beginning, the unsteady "fluttering" of each tone of the siren sounds like a recording made on a cheap tape recorder.

So funny to hear that cow.

Ah, i think i get it.

You mean the "wave" effecnt in the tone's.

That is on purpose en part of the siren. Its because it grap your attention and you hear it through other sounds, like the car radio.

There are many types of these 3tone sirens here in the Netherlands.

The ascending and descending frequencies of "Wail" is the best siren sound because it sounds at ALL frequencies within its range.

The problem with the three-tone siren is that one or more of the tones could match music being played in the car.

Thats why there are 3 tone's because you hear always hear atleast 1 of the tone's. And with 2 or 3 tone's you can hear very clear where's its coming from.

Im not going to judge which siren is the best, because they are all just as good in their own way.

The wide range of frequencies of Wail makes it stand out better.

Wail is also detected by those with hearing deficits better than other sounds.

Yelp may be the best sound, but Yelp has a tendency to panic some drivers.

I added some capacitors in the Yelp tone generation circuit and slowed our Yelp a little.

Adding "vibrato" to these tones is an interesting idea!

Okay, all frequencies, but there are no clear intervals and intervals get people's attention. Dutch sirens can wake you up, even if they are far away. It has nothing to do with the volume, but the intervals.

I believe that Wail is best because it ascends and descends through ALL the frequencies. It cannot match any music playing in a vehicle.

This ambulance sounds notes B-flat, d, E, d, which could match music.

The low E unexpectedly stands out in this awkward musical triad, but not as much as Wail "sliding" up and down a musical scale.

Has anyone conducted tests to see what catches the attention of the unexpecting ear?
