He's definitely got serious skills. But, remember, when we listen to drummers...you get a completely different impression with your eyes closed. What does it sound like? For instance, on the congas, if you close your eyes, there is no real differentiation in the sounds he's making on them, just different hand movements. Same with the drums at times. He's still very, very good.

Think what you will but he was over rated, his influence though, was not. Although he made MMA popular, he was not its creator. Pankration has been around for thousands of years. There were even actual mixed martial artists and events in the late 1800's in europe where the fighters would train and fight using Judo, Boxing, JiuJitsu, wrestling, etc. . If you were to put Bruce in a fight with any of today's top fighters, he would get slaughtered.
People keep saying he was the best yet they haven't even seen footage of his ACTUAL fights ( movies dont count my friend). Im not trying to be arrogant but have you even seen any of his fights? If so, i'd love to watch them, send them on over. With that being said, im sure he could whoop some ass and was a GREAT asset to the evolution of martial arts but people seem to give him god like status which is ridiculous.
