Will soon be playing this in 10 player battles with the crew, along with racing wheel driven SEGA Rally, lightgun using Virtua Cop 2 and House of the Dead and fighting stick Virtua Fighter 2 combat. DAMN, the SEGA Saturn is superb.

and 6 player Guardian Heroes and 3 player Three Dirty Dwarves and NiGHTS multiplayer. Seriously, the Saturn as a whole has aged like The Godfather, which is so ironic given how its attempt at PS1/N64 type 3d games tended to be unplayable garbage and have aged like milk.

And then there are the sublime nearly arcade-perfect 2d fighting games and the late uber-Saturn games like Panzer Dragoon Saga and Shining Force 3 and Radiant Silvergun. Holy shit, it's an amazing system and I only ever really looked at it by the time I was nearly 19, what was I doing? What were we all doing when we didn't buy this super console when it was dead and cheap by about late 97 to mid 98?

Atomic Bomberman (the mainstream PC version) supported 10 players, but restricted the number of players to 4 per PC... so you needed a LAN and at least 3 computers to play 10 player.

I also don't remember Atomic Bomberman having maps this large, but I never played more than a 6 player game of it.

It's only missed if you don't have a Saturn (or access to a friend's), the game, 2 taps, and a pile of controllers. ;) Some of my Saturn pads are joysticks so someone always got stuck with those.

I also have the Japanese version. Do you remember the voice saying "special?" It's been a long while since I pulled it out of the closet but I don't remember the high pitched sound effects from this video in my copy. Just thought you would know. Not sure when I'll get the Saturn out anytime soon. Maybe when I get a copy of import Necronomicon Pinball. lol
