@CapitalPunishmentMMA if you get in a street fight, can you tell the attacker to stop because you're not in the same weight class and therefore the mugging is unfair?
@CapitalPunishmentMMA not if you partner uses control, it isn't. I practice against different weight classes and heights all the time and I'm 5'7", 150 lbs. When you partner is more interested in learning and helping you learn than they are in winning, it's GREAT way to train for the real world.
@CapitalPunishmentMMA . I respect BJJ a lot and it great if the fight needs to go to the ground. But it has no place in this discussion. "Face reality and learn BJJ"? What kind of mutual respect is that? I could go off on a rant about how BJJ is useless against multiple attackers if you only train BJJ without a striking art. But I wont, because it would be disrespectful and out of place. OSU
Hapkido vs Kyokushin, oh and for the fellow who asked what kempo is, two characters one means fist the other law or principles. There are many different styles of Kempo. The word kempo and kenpo are the same word by the way. Just different english phonetic spelling of the same kanji.
I think its a copied Korean thing from Chinise Kempo or a real bad copy of it the last guy the Kyokushin fighter fought did some kinda kempo or just flucked slaping hes arms around though this is not Kempo or real Kempo
I like how the karate guy started doing close range stuff towards the end when they both got in a clinch thing. Much better than flailing around like the korean guy did at first.
this is tae krap doodoo dont ever compare it to kenpo or kempo hell no its a disgrace of a martial art its a movie fantasy art where no one uses the cursed hands... kenpo kills tkd in an instant ...sounds harsh but its true...its all about money to that organization
You are pretty much right. However, TKD was at one time a viable martial art, if you know where to look you can use it effectively and train effectively. You are more or less fucked if you are training at a WTF Mcdojo.
TKD is pretty off topic in this video, because that's a Kyokushin Karate guy visiting a Hapkido Dojang in Taegu, South Korea. The style is called Hapkiusul, and has nothing to do with TKD.
Pavqn, Do you know how hard it is to knock someone out? Since they don't allow hand strikes to the head in Kyokushin it makes it harder. Besides its a friendly match.
omg i wish i could kiss you! thank you for being able to acknowledge you dont know enough to compare anythng here... i wish more ppl like you were on youtube.... wanna be friends ? lol

@Aramis2000 that is a horrible way to train most of the time...then again - respect reality and learn BJJ.

pretty scary sparring session, hapkido guy was going for the face and eye gouging.
but hey kyokushin fighter actually knew how to block high punches.
god i love it when styles collide!!!!!!
kenseisato1989 2 years ago 3
kyokushin puts alot of emphesis on endurance which hurts but in the end hey.....it wins fights. UNLESS YOUR ALLOWED TO PUNCH THE FACE
Mider999 2 years ago
@Mider999 check Kyokushin vs K-1 fights and see how kyokushin owns even more when they're allowed to punch in the head

Your right WTF is a Mcdojo and is just a commercial sport version of Taekwondo and a money making scheme

can anyone tell me what is kempo?
yckss17 3 years ago
"Kempo" is a japanese word that refers to Chinese martial arts in general.
So whenever someone says "Shaolin Kempo" or "Kempo Karate," it's the same thing; Kempo is a karate style inspired by chinese arts.
CrackerJackthe4th 3 years ago 2
Its a japanese word for "American shit made to sound and look asian."

NONONONONONONO.
It's Taekwondo.
Please, for the love of God, NEVER compare Hapkido and Taekwondo.
I died a little on the inside.

where can you point out and say that is not hapkido?
