Wow, someone hates one of the most nicest guys in show biz. I'm not picking sides, but Roddenberry hasn't exactly done the greatest stuff (Unless you think lying and stealing are honest and truthful). Still, creators aside...both are well-known science fictions and should be enjoyed. Especially Star Trek right now, everyone is in a buzz for the new Star Trek movie.

like I said speed the sw vessels can travel across the galaxy in hours as opposed to trek vessels taking several DECADES.
Also, the fight can escalate to republic vs. borg and then republic would win? Well yes, but you see my point shotgunblues? Sometimes the bad guy wins, like in such great movies as "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Revenge of the Sith". The factions alignment doesn't matter.
"Star Trek would win. Because it always does. And the evil Empire loses. In fiction v. fiction, you gotta be consistent with the genre. The Enterprise crew finds a way to win, and the evil empire loses. Not that complicated, really."
If that's what you call proof or logic then you're REALLY retarded.
I am a fan of both, Wars and Trek, even though I prefer Wars. I am just aware of the Fact that the Empire or any Wars race (the Republic, the CIS etc.) would have no problem conquering the Milky Way galaxy in a few weeks, if not days. They are just too powerful. You haven't adressed, how the Trek races should counter that great advantages in numbers, weapons and shields.
No, I didn't. The way I said that was typical. Since no one was talking about YOU giving up, your inference was illogical. However, I was trying to be polite about it.
And I know plenty about both universes. Certainly enough to back up my comments. You seem more interested in arguing than in considering someone else's perspective. I've entertained your arguments because I was curious if you would change mine. (My perspective, that is).
So in you're perspective who wins? (it's obvious who you think I just want to hear it straight from the horses mouth) but why do you think they'll win? HMMM?
Back up you comments or for that matter post some valid ones.
Oh bullshit. Now who's delivering the ad hominems? You base your arguments on convenient facts while ignoring inconvenient ones. As a result, your arguments are overzealous and filled with logical holes. Even the notion that you are in a position to judge what constitutes a valid comment is a joke.
I bothered to counter some of them, but not the obvious ones. As I recall, you were challenging my argument, not the other way around. You never really disproved my original comment concerning fictional consistency, you only disagreed with it. "Fuck you," "fuck off," "little bitch," "try again," "horse shit," "learn something"... are these the types of arguments I should bother countering? I think not.
See you didn't bother to try and counter anything I said earlier because you CAN'T.
"Every counter" you have posted was horse shit because you assumed that the feds would instantly know imperial tech even though the federation would be destroyed in a few days.
The feds are too slow and would be caught off gaurd and flat footed.
Counter this:
How are they going to stop an enemy who can slag their planets faster than they can react and be on the other side of the federation in minutes?
If anyone else wants to have a meaningful discussion, I'm all for it. But you and I are obviously going nowhere. It's been fun, but my interest in this discussion is limited those willing to reconsider their positions based comments presented by others. Much like in jury selection, there's little point in debating with people who have conclusively made up there minds before the discussion started.
My mind HAS been made up since the discussions we sci-fi debaters had nearly five years ago it seems you are new to the argument I've just heard all the trektard bullshit before.
You've brought nothing new to the debate and you couldn't prove me wrong the people who have been on these debates for nearly a decade will rip your arguments apart like a lion tears apart a dog.
Seriously post somthing to challenge all the points I made or just run away like a little bitch.
Wars superiority in Firepower, shielding and acceleration? Any military trained guy will tell you that if the enemy has advantages in this categories, victory is nearly impossible. A "war" would look like this: Star Destroyer hyperjumps to earth and threatens the Federation to obliterate their homeworld, if they don't surrender. End of story.
comparing britan and the colonies isn't the same. They had the same technology this would be like the modern day russia vs a small island filled with a handful of cave men with sticks.
If you're so sure of yourself, then why bother arguing? Why do you care what people think? Were you hired as an advocate for the "Star Wars is Better than Star Trek Society?"
If you really want to know what I think about something, ask more specific questions. There isn't enough room in these comment boxes to effectively answer the kinds of open-ended questions you keep asking.
They are out gunned out numbered and eating the empire's dust when it comes to faster than light travel the Star wars Galaxy has been making STAR killers (CENTERPOINT STATION) since the Terrans were still wearing loincloths.
The federations technology is nowhere near that of starwars.
I've read the comments for the last few days and if you can't refute any of the information posted by blacksun or fliegengott then obviously you can't do so and you keep dodging their points.
How would they replicate materials they don't know anything about or a device they don't know exists or know it's actual function with an alien ship with an alien operating system?
Keep the ad hominems coming they don't change the fact the entire milkyway would fall before the might of the empire with it's endless supply of machines and cloned troops or droid armies that no one gives a shit if they are destroyed they'll just make more.
Your ad hominem reference is inappropriate. Other than observing your obvious bias, I have done nothing but address the subject of the discussion.
I never said the books weren't official, only that I wasn't considering them. And if the roll of the empire has changed, then it's character has obviously changed as well. Do I have to think of everything for you?
And what have I failed at? I'm not trying to change your mind. Clearly your mind is already set, regardless of what anyone says.
Yes. Your arguments seem to present a bias against Trek, regardless of the subject of the discussion. But as I said, I'm only here for some thoughtful discussion. And because I'm interested in how you construct your arguments.
Depends on the circumstances. I've already suggested a number of possibilities. I'm not going to try to list them all. It depends on how the two universes overlap to set the stage for the crossover. But if the empire invaded the trek world, as you are apparently presuming, starfleet would likely have to regroup and fight using some form of gorilla warfare, a form of fighting that's effective at gradually beating powerful empires.
Treks Geurilla (not gorilla) tactics won't make a difference if the imperials threaten slagging a planet with dissidents on them the federation would quickly double over. The empire would be the first to invade because they're imperialistic the feds are a bunch of pussified pajama wearing space commies that would try to make peaceful negotiations and when the empire saw their inferior technology they would get steamrolled.
The stupid feds would see oter humans and say "hey friends send your ambassadors to earth" empire "okay" the feds return to earth only to find it a pile of radioactive slag.
Touché. The spell check got me on that one. However, I don't think the federation would give up as easily as you do. They might surrender to fight another day, but I think they're too full of ideals regarding freedom and rights of sentient beings to give up in the face of oppression. Um, regardless of their uniforms.
We appear to have language gap on this one. "as easily as you do" meant as easily as you think they would (i.e, "I don't think the federation would give up as easily as you think they would").
I wonder how the Trek captains would "outsmart" a ship that has more than a hundred times the firepower of their own. One heavy turbolaser shot could immediately vaporize any Trek ship. "Smart thinking" doesn't help you against a 200 feet giant while you are naked and armed with a rock. Wars wins.
I wonder too. But if you watch Star Trek, and you watch Star Wars, you know that the fictional consistency is that the federation will win and the empire will lose. Who knows? Maybe all the evil guys in the Trek galaxy will unite. Maybe they'll find some great new weapon. But they'd figure it out somehow.
Unlikely. I don't care about how a writer would solve it, if such a war would actually occure, all Trek races (except the few really powerful like S8472) would get their asses kicked. That's it. There's no other way it could stay realistic, because ANY Wars faction is just too powerful. Trek would lose. Just because the Empire are "the bad guys", it doesn't mean they would lose. That's just stupid. I would call America "the bad guys", but did they lose in Irac?
That comparison is stupid. The war in Iraq is reality. Star Trek and Star Wars are fiction. If they were reality, I might accept your argument. But to judge fictions, you have to consider the style and trends of their creators. Looking at the writers of both franchises, the Empire will lose...Maybe the Federation would ally with the rebels (it's not like they'd fight each other anyway).
Well, I treat both fictions as if they were real and go from there - it's called "suspension of disbelief". If the battle was to be realistic, there would be no way Trek could win.
Hmm... hard to say. Empire ships have huge fire power, but usually non-clever commanders. Federation ships are much smaller but have more maneuverability and shields that cannot be penetrated by laser bolts. And let's not forget the usefulness of the transporter. Even assuming the empire shields can block this, just get inside the shields with a shuttle craft, or better yet, a cloaked vessel, sabotage the bridge of the star destroyer, and boom, the large powerful ship is easily wiped out.
Please, not the stupid laser thing any more ... well, transporters are useless against shielded enemies, cloak can be detected and Imperial weapons and shields are faaar superior to any Trek technology. In fact, it would require I think 1000 Galaxy-class ships to fire ALL their torpedos AT ONCE, to overcome a Star Destroyers shields for ONE SECOND.
You don't need to take the direct approach if you're sneaky about it. And come on. How good could their sensors be if the millennium falcon hid on the HULL and then floated away with the garbage? The smart ones win every time. Two death stars were destroyed by tiny ships with no real defense or fire power because the attackers were clever and sneaky. I'd bet on the smart ones every time. Even if the federation didn't win right away, it would eventually.
Han was in the empire's navy at one point he knew where the blindspot was they weren't detected because he was on the blind spot somthing the feds wouldn't know.
The feds are pussies you start destroying their worlds faster than they can respond and they will surrender. The imperials have no qualms of slagging federation worlds or even earth they would never see the attack comming and would never have time to prepare because of the speed advantage of hyperdrive the federation would fall.
Then they would surrender and form a rebellion. They'd win out eventually. Clearly you're just arguing for the result you want. I have no such bias. The empire is tough and nasty, sure, but it's command structure is poor. It functions more like a bloated bureaucracy; it's too big to function efficiently. That's why it was destined to fail from the moment it was thought up by GL.
How would they get under the shields if they're only a few cm off the hull their hullhuggers not stupid bubbles.
The fact that An ISD has two different shields throws your argument out the window and how would they get close enough to sabotage anything if they would be spotted and promptly vaporized?
Lasers? Turbolasers are heavy particle beams they are fueled by tibanna gas plasma not to mention their ion canons which would destroy anything mechanical in trek.
Yeah and all those people like han and obi were either familiar with imperial tech like han or using the force to slink through the corridors unnoticed like obiwan.
By jumping a storm trooper. Or perhaps using a replicator. You keep asking stupid questions and then saying "try again." The burden isn't on me to convince you. As I said, I have no preference between the two. Thoughtful discussion clearly is not your forte.
In judging ST/SW I only look to the TV/Movies, but OK. The empire survived (to keep the story going). But it lost it's hold on the galaxy (which was my point) with the rise of the New Republic.
Stupid comments like jump a storm trooper don't make any sense if the empire would be jumping from system to system without landing any troops since trek planets don't have shields or hyperspace detection for that matter it would just be bdz all the way until they surrendered.
FYI the new republic tore itself apart and the empire remained a galactic power even retaking most of what they lost in the years following the new republics internal collapse.
Wow, and I thought I was a geek. Holy fucking christ, it's nerd vs. nerd. Listen fellas, there's more to life than Star shit, you guys are the one's making our future so please stop in-fighting. Just go invent transporters or something to benefit humankind please. (I'm one of you, except I party and get laid frequently) You guys are like al-Qaida sub-militias infighting...Come on baby, band together for the good of humanity! Invent a positronic matrix, and I will get you laid, promise!
"the entire star trek fleet against the star wars fleet, i believe that the star trek fleet would win"
Please, what? Only the Imperial fleet already has about 25.000 Star Destroyers - note, Star Destroyers, frigates and escorts not counted. Starfleet seems to have little more than 1.000 ships, maybe less. Watch "First Contact", there are pretty few Starfleet vessels in the first battle for the defence of their homeworld, don't ya think? Compare that to the opening of Ep III ...
Star Trek would win. Because it always does. And the evil Empire loses. In fiction v. fiction, you gotta be consistent with the genre. The Enterprise crew finds a way to win, and the evil empire loses. Not that complicated, really.
There are no ships in the United Federation of Planets that could withstand the firepower of a Star Destroyers. I like Star Trek a little better than Star Wars, but a better match would be 5 Tie-Fighters against the Enterprise or equivalent.
a jedi vs kirk, of course he would lose, a star destroyer against the enterprise, i think the enterprise would pull it off, a tie fighter or interceptor against the enterprise, the enterprise would win, the entire star trek fleet against the star wars fleet, i believe that the star trek fleet would win
You're right, but not for the reason some people might think. It's because those crafty federation types always find a way to win. They would find a way to outsmart the lumbering star destroyers with their slow and plodding (but very, very evil) captains.
I said slow and plodding CAPTAINS. And of course you can outsmart something that can kill you with one hit. That's silly. Besides, Han Solo did it in ESB.
i seriously doubt kirk could be defeated so easily like that. and KHAN beat them? yes, he's a genius and figured out technology 400 years from his time but KHAN?! come on!!
The funny thing is, Star Wars had to remake one of their movies for a third time, b/c they took the idea of the design from the shockwave in the sixth Star Trek movie, using it in the second remake of the Star Wars movie. So you have 3 of the same movie, and yet same substandard quality from what I have seen.
very good nobady win good then nobody ar seyin star trek kill star wars or star wars destroy star trek

Also, the fight can escalate to republic vs. borg and then republic would win? Well yes, but you see my point shotgunblues? Sometimes the bad guy wins, like in such great movies as "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Revenge of the Sith". The factions alignment doesn't matter.

Fliegengott666 3 years ago 2
IMO, Star Wars and Star Trek are equally awesome. . . I'm a huge fan of both.
Nice vid!
OberKommando77 3 years ago
No, I didn't. The way I said that was typical. Since no one was talking about YOU giving up, your inference was illogical. However, I was trying to be polite about it.
And I know plenty about both universes. Certainly enough to back up my comments. You seem more interested in arguing than in considering someone else's perspective. I've entertained your arguments because I was curious if you would change mine. (My perspective, that is).
ShotgunBlues42 3 years ago
So in you're perspective who wins? (it's obvious who you think I just want to hear it straight from the horses mouth) but why do you think they'll win? HMMM?
Back up you comments or for that matter post some valid ones.
blacksun2175 3 years ago
And if you had any valid ones you wouldn't be trying to criticize mine.
And if you knew FACTS about both you wouldn't argue that the feds would win.
blacksun2175 3 years ago
Oh bullshit. Now who's delivering the ad hominems? You base your arguments on convenient facts while ignoring inconvenient ones. As a result, your arguments are overzealous and filled with logical holes. Even the notion that you are in a position to judge what constitutes a valid comment is a joke.
ShotgunBlues42 3 years ago
Yeah the moment you said you were studying me I turned off the logic and Gave you a big FUCK YOU.
I Gave you facts and you never bother to counter any of them so again FUCK OFF.
There were no valid arguments given by you just critisicm of the proof I gave.
Show me these logical hole if you can you dickhead.
blacksun2175 3 years ago
I bothered to counter some of them, but not the obvious ones. As I recall, you were challenging my argument, not the other way around. You never really disproved my original comment concerning fictional consistency, you only disagreed with it. "Fuck you," "fuck off," "little bitch," "try again," "horse shit," "learn something"... are these the types of arguments I should bother countering? I think not.
ShotgunBlues42 3 years ago
See you didn't bother to try and counter anything I said earlier because you CAN'T.
"Every counter" you have posted was horse shit because you assumed that the feds would instantly know imperial tech even though the federation would be destroyed in a few days.
The feds are too slow and would be caught off gaurd and flat footed.
Counter this:
How are they going to stop an enemy who can slag their planets faster than they can react and be on the other side of the federation in minutes?
blacksun2175 3 years ago
If anyone else wants to have a meaningful discussion, I'm all for it. But you and I are obviously going nowhere. It's been fun, but my interest in this discussion is limited those willing to reconsider their positions based comments presented by others. Much like in jury selection, there's little point in debating with people who have conclusively made up there minds before the discussion started.
ShotgunBlues42 3 years ago
My mind HAS been made up since the discussions we sci-fi debaters had nearly five years ago it seems you are new to the argument I've just heard all the trektard bullshit before.
You've brought nothing new to the debate and you couldn't prove me wrong the people who have been on these debates for nearly a decade will rip your arguments apart like a lion tears apart a dog.
Seriously post somthing to challenge all the points I made or just run away like a little bitch.
blacksun2175 3 years ago
O.K. and what are those inconvenient facts?
blacksun2175 3 years ago 2
Wars superiority in Firepower, shielding and acceleration? Any military trained guy will tell you that if the enemy has advantages in this categories, victory is nearly impossible. A "war" would look like this: Star Destroyer hyperjumps to earth and threatens the Federation to obliterate their homeworld, if they don't surrender. End of story.
Fliegengott666 3 years ago 2
Well, you could have said the same thing about the Revolutionary War in the U.S. However, it was the British Empire that lost that one.
ShotgunBlues42 3 years ago
comparing britan and the colonies isn't the same. They had the same technology this would be like the modern day russia vs a small island filled with a handful of cave men with sticks.
blacksun2175 3 years ago
If you're so sure of yourself, then why bother arguing? Why do you care what people think? Were you hired as an advocate for the "Star Wars is Better than Star Trek Society?"
If you really want to know what I think about something, ask more specific questions. There isn't enough room in these comment boxes to effectively answer the kinds of open-ended questions you keep asking.
ShotgunBlues42 3 years ago
They are out gunned out numbered and eating the empire's dust when it comes to faster than light travel the Star wars Galaxy has been making STAR killers (CENTERPOINT STATION) since the Terrans were still wearing loincloths.
The federations technology is nowhere near that of starwars.
I've read the comments for the last few days and if you can't refute any of the information posted by blacksun or fliegengott then obviously you can't do so and you keep dodging their points.
Trek loses.
Jemaqurai 3 years ago 2
How would they replicate materials they don't know anything about or a device they don't know exists or know it's actual function with an alien ship with an alien operating system?
blacksun2175 3 years ago
Keep the ad hominems coming they don't change the fact the entire milkyway would fall before the might of the empire with it's endless supply of machines and cloned troops or droid armies that no one gives a shit if they are destroyed they'll just make more.
blacksun2175 3 years ago
Your ad hominem reference is inappropriate. Other than observing your obvious bias, I have done nothing but address the subject of the discussion.
I never said the books weren't official, only that I wasn't considering them. And if the roll of the empire has changed, then it's character has obviously changed as well. Do I have to think of everything for you?
And what have I failed at? I'm not trying to change your mind. Clearly your mind is already set, regardless of what anyone says.
ShotgunBlues41 3 years ago
The empire is still ruthless and imperialistic they're just the lesser of two evils.
Bias? So I'm baised for telling the truth? Isn't that a load of horseshit!
blacksun2175 3 years ago
Yes. Your arguments seem to present a bias against Trek, regardless of the subject of the discussion. But as I said, I'm only here for some thoughtful discussion. And because I'm interested in how you construct your arguments.
ShotgunBlues41 3 years ago
Like I said i'm not going to lie if someone says a pebble on the floor has more ke than a railgun round I'll happily point out the contrary.
If you insist on commenting first learn a little somthing about the subject first.
blacksun2175 3 years ago
Depends on the circumstances. I've already suggested a number of possibilities. I'm not going to try to list them all. It depends on how the two universes overlap to set the stage for the crossover. But if the empire invaded the trek world, as you are apparently presuming, starfleet would likely have to regroup and fight using some form of gorilla warfare, a form of fighting that's effective at gradually beating powerful empires.
ShotgunBlues41 3 years ago
Treks Geurilla (not gorilla) tactics won't make a difference if the imperials threaten slagging a planet with dissidents on them the federation would quickly double over. The empire would be the first to invade because they're imperialistic the feds are a bunch of pussified pajama wearing space commies that would try to make peaceful negotiations and when the empire saw their inferior technology they would get steamrolled.
blacksun2175 3 years ago
The stupid feds would see oter humans and say "hey friends send your ambassadors to earth" empire "okay" the feds return to earth only to find it a pile of radioactive slag.
blacksun2175 3 years ago
Touché. The spell check got me on that one. However, I don't think the federation would give up as easily as you do. They might surrender to fight another day, but I think they're too full of ideals regarding freedom and rights of sentient beings to give up in the face of oppression. Um, regardless of their uniforms.
ShotgunBlues41 3 years ago
"would give up as easily as you do"
I never give up that pretty obvious.
The feds would quickly accept the empire's rule and turn into the imperialistic terrans because thats just how we humans are.
blacksun2175 3 years ago
We appear to have language gap on this one. "as easily as you do" meant as easily as you think they would (i.e, "I don't think the federation would give up as easily as you think they would").
ShotgunBlues42 3 years ago
Then you fucked that up not me you should have wrote that instead.
They would give up if they couldn't touch or catch an enemy constantly threatening to slag their planets.
blacksun2175 3 years ago
I wonder how the Trek captains would "outsmart" a ship that has more than a hundred times the firepower of their own. One heavy turbolaser shot could immediately vaporize any Trek ship. "Smart thinking" doesn't help you against a 200 feet giant while you are naked and armed with a rock. Wars wins.
Fliegengott666 3 years ago 2
I wonder too. But if you watch Star Trek, and you watch Star Wars, you know that the fictional consistency is that the federation will win and the empire will lose. Who knows? Maybe all the evil guys in the Trek galaxy will unite. Maybe they'll find some great new weapon. But they'd figure it out somehow.
ShotgunBlues42 3 years ago
Fliegengott666 3 years ago
That comparison is stupid. The war in Iraq is reality. Star Trek and Star Wars are fiction. If they were reality, I might accept your argument. But to judge fictions, you have to consider the style and trends of their creators. Looking at the writers of both franchises, the Empire will lose...Maybe the Federation would ally with the rebels (it's not like they'd fight each other anyway).
ShotgunBlues42 3 years ago
Well, I treat both fictions as if they were real and go from there - it's called "suspension of disbelief". If the battle was to be realistic, there would be no way Trek could win.
Fliegengott666 3 years ago 3
Hmm... hard to say.
ShotgunBlues42 3 years ago
Please, not the stupid laser thing any more ... well, transporters are useless against shielded enemies, cloak can be detected and Imperial weapons and shields are faaar superior to any Trek technology. In fact, it would require I think 1000 Galaxy-class ships to fire ALL their torpedos AT ONCE, to overcome a Star Destroyers shields for ONE SECOND.
Fliegengott666 3 years ago
You don't need to take the direct approach if you're sneaky about it. And come on. How good could their sensors be if the millennium falcon hid on the HULL and then floated away with the garbage? The smart ones win every time. Two death stars were destroyed by tiny ships with no real defense or fire power because the attackers were clever and sneaky. I'd bet on the smart ones every time. Even if the federation didn't win right away, it would eventually.
ShotgunBlues41 3 years ago
Han was in the empire's navy at one point he knew where the blindspot was they weren't detected because he was on the blind spot somthing the feds wouldn't know.
The feds are pussies you start destroying their worlds faster than they can respond and they will surrender. The imperials have no qualms of slagging federation worlds or even earth they would never see the attack comming and would never have time to prepare because of the speed advantage of hyperdrive the federation would fall.
blacksun2175 3 years ago
Then they would surrender and form a rebellion. They'd win out eventually. Clearly you're just arguing for the result you want. I have no such bias. The empire is tough and nasty, sure, but it's command structure is poor. It functions more like a bloated bureaucracy; it's too big to function efficiently. That's why it was destined to fail from the moment it was thought up by GL.
ShotgunBlues42 3 years ago
And yet the empire still exists 140 years A.B.Y. under the leadership of the Jedi Emperor Roan Fel.
The fact that they are still around proves you wrong.
try again...
blacksun2175 3 years ago
How would they get under the shields if they're only a few cm off the hull their hullhuggers not stupid bubbles.
The fact that An ISD has two different shields throws your argument out the window and how would they get close enough to sabotage anything if they would be spotted and promptly vaporized?
Lasers? Turbolasers are heavy particle beams they are fueled by tibanna gas plasma not to mention their ion canons which would destroy anything mechanical in trek.
blacksun2175 3 years ago 2
There are plenty of ways to trick your way in. The Star Wars movies are full of examples of it.
ShotgunBlues42 3 years ago
Yeah and all those people like han and obi were either familiar with imperial tech like han or using the force to slink through the corridors unnoticed like obiwan.
Try somthing else...
blacksun2175 3 years ago
Or just putting on a storm trooper outfit? Come on. Besides, I already said the federation would ally with the rebels.
ShotgunBlues42 3 years ago
How the hell are they going to get tormtrooper armor? More importantly the rank cylinders?
The rebellion failed in the long run the empire still exsists.
Try again...
blacksun2175 3 years ago
By jumping a storm trooper. Or perhaps using a replicator. You keep asking stupid questions and then saying "try again." The burden isn't on me to convince you. As I said, I have no preference between the two. Thoughtful discussion clearly is not your forte.
In judging ST/SW I only look to the TV/Movies, but OK. The empire survived (to keep the story going). But it lost it's hold on the galaxy (which was my point) with the rise of the New Republic.
ShotgunBlues42 3 years ago 2
Stupid comments like jump a storm trooper don't make any sense if the empire would be jumping from system to system without landing any troops since trek planets don't have shields or hyperspace detection for that matter it would just be bdz all the way until they surrendered.
FYI the new republic tore itself apart and the empire remained a galactic power even retaking most of what they lost in the years following the new republics internal collapse.
blacksun2175 3 years ago
It will fall again. That's what GL created it for. The fact that the books keep reusing the concept changes nothing.
ShotgunBlues42 3 years ago 2
Bullshit the books are official and the fel empire They're the good guys 140 a.b.y.
So no they won't fall again.
The fact that its role was reversed prooves otherwise.
You fail again.

Fliegengott666 3 years ago
Star Trek would win. Because it always does. And the evil Empire loses. In fiction v. fiction, you gotta be consistent with the genre. The Enterprise crew finds a way to win, and the evil empire loses. Not that complicated, really.

"a star destroyer against the enterprise"
ISD wins the day due to the more firepower and 5x bigger size.
"a tie fighter or interceptor against the enterprise"
Why do trekkies pit a small thing from SW against the major ship in ST and base their arguments on that?
"The entire star trek fleet against the star wars fleet, i believe that the ST fleet would win"
You are also including empire, republic, rebels, and CIS on one side here, your big mistake.

a jedi vs kirk, of course he would lose, a star destroyer against the enterprise, i think the enterprise would pull it off, a tie fighter or interceptor against the enterprise, the enterprise would win, the entire star trek fleet against the star wars fleet, i believe that the star trek fleet would win
metal101thunder 3 years ago 2
You're right, but not for the reason some people might think. It's because those crafty federation types always find a way to win. They would find a way to outsmart the lumbering star destroyers with their slow and plodding (but very, very evil) captains.
ShotgunBlues42 3 years ago 2
A star destroyer accelerates at 3000 G's so I wouldnt call that plodding.
Trek vs wars would be like a kid armed with a stick vs Metal gear REX.
