  • @lamourdanimer

Oh no, well, she didn't die! She "died mentally" = got lobotomized. Because once someone is lobotomized, a huge portion of their brain loses connection with emotional feeling. So the whole movie of her in the prostitution world was the 5 days of her life before she got lobotomized. Hope it makes sense :)

  • For those who are still confused:

THE SEQUENCE SHOWN IN THIS VERY VIDEO, of her getting to the institution and getting lobotomized, is what the ENTIRE movie was based on.

She imagined her 5 days at the institution differently, at a brothel/prostitution world. So the entire movie was basically a flashback from this point. Hence, "Life flashing before your eyes".

  • Piss on uploader

  • this movie is so ture

  • I totally get this song. I think every must think this at lest once in there life

  • Comment removed

  • they lobotomised her without putting her in anesthesia?!

  • @MrsCaliGirl98 You really have to watch this film! It's amaaaazing *_* :*

  • @viviisinilubibi hehehehehe :} :*

  • @MrsCaliGirl98 yeah technically a real lobotomy would happen after using shock therapy to put them unconcious. She also would have had black eyes afterwords. they left out a lot of details on the lobotomy.

  • The ending sucks. Nuff said.

  • I thought baby doll didnt get lobotomised he stopped coz she looked at him weird didn't he

  • @vampirelove48 I think so to and .....I didn't care about a sertion charictors death cuz (I'm not gonna say who but) I keep thinking of high school musical and gagging when I seen them x) but epic movie 3 :o

  • @MrStatechamipon4 Yes rocket is a nurse if you watch the movie and the doctor that is in that scene is a she.

  • I was very surprised that the guy from Mad Man was the Docter. For some reason when I saw that it was him. I could calm myself down from crying from Rocket's, Amber's and Blondie's and aspecially Babydoll's death. But to be very honest to you guys, i was more heartbroken over Rocket's death. She was my favorite character.

  • When sweet pea takes over in the lobotomy scene and tells him to get away is Blondie and Rocket the nurses

  • I find my own meaning in this movie. I have been a place like that. I did the same thing as she did:

I created it into a place I enjoyed living in, and lived in fantasy instead of reality. It is hard to explain.

  • I believe this movie actually does have some kind of meaning... I think it's for those who can open their horizons, to what they call a paradise... So if a child Is in pain or adult it's called multiple personalities, getting lost in your paradise-- away from the pain and just losing your mind.., but then again like the movie says "You have all the weapons you need, now fight" I believe it's fighting for sanity in the darkest of places like the move depicts...

  • blondes are always somewhere off in a fantasy world and so they make a movie to glorify all of this

  • I'm pretty sure the dancing is when she is talking to her shrink ( the Russian lady)

  • @kofmystr actually i found that Madam Gorskei (idk on Spelling) is actually Polish! :) figured i'd share..

  • She didn't kill her sister. The father killed the little sister when she was in the closet, hence why when Babydoll bent down to her, she had blood on her hands.

The FATHER killed the sister and paid off the owner of the Asylum to forge the Doctor's signature (The dance instructor), to have Babydoll lobotomized so she couldn't tell the police who actually killed her little sister.

The brothel was a fake world that she imagined to almost replicate the real world.

  • If this wasn't a movie made for no reason other then to help people get off on seeing near naked, frail looking women get abused, then this scene would show her asking the doctor to please, please check the signature. Instead she has some stupid assed dream wearing thigh socks.

  • @lollipopfop first off, she was a hurt and mentally scarred young woman in the sixties who had no control over anything that happened. Secondly, adding the other weird dimensions was a part of the mental re-thinking process the director so cleverly choose the movie to be wrapped around. It's called thinking, try it.

  • He looks like Ray William Johnson...

  • Anyone notice Baby Doll's katana and the Lobotomy needle in the title "Sucker Punch"?

  • shit :(

  • @locked825 a lobotomy is a procedure that was performed back then to treat the mentally ill, depressed, or bi polar patients by hammering a large needle size object (usually an icepick) right above the eyeball, under the eye lid, and stabbing the brain in the frontal lobe area to wipe out memory.

  • The bit that was cut off, Sweet Pea ranting about how stupid the play was: it's exactly what the point (not the storyline, that one has a different meaning) of the movie was. That women in hollywood are only for pleasure to look at, not having any real point, and Sucker Punch is trying to say that, but people are too thick headed to realise.

  • @xangryyemmiix158 First of all, the women in Hollywood are absolutely equal to men. Some have their looks, some have their acting ability. Are you going to tell me Meryl Streep and Dame Judi Dench are there because of their incomparable sex appeal? The place women are being exploited that I can see is this film.

  • @lollipopfop Judi and Meryl are brilliant actresses, but I'm talking about a large majority of actresses, such as Megan Fox for example, who isn't known for her acting ability. She's 'hot' and doesn't wear much in the Transformers movies, which is attractive to large crowds. When she left, they brought in a Victoria's Secret model to be eye candy damsel in distress. Women in this industry, in this society, aren't equal in any way to men.

  • @xangryyemmiix158

The reason women in the industry and society as a whole aren't equal is actually obvious, it's because of capitalism which is a system that is run and designed by and for wealthy white males while everyone else are "minorities".

  • @lollipopfop Man's achievements are every where, but when a woman scientist did/does something, what coverage does she get? Barely any. But anon models are swept by us every day, selling products completely irrelevant to what they are wearing or doing in the pictures and videos. The women in films are usually not given full plots or backgrounds, and are rarely full dimensional. They are reduced to a face and a body, and someone for the hero to save.

  • @lollipopfop Pin up calendars of scantily clad women, "girl-y girls", most women feeling less beautiful after their twenties. Look at comic books! Women all have about the same bodies: thin, huge busts, flared hips, and those obnoxious manga eyes. Men vary in every shape and form and face. Women in our society feel like we're never going to measure up to what the media throws at us.

  • Wur does it mean to be lotobomized(?) and this scene really disturbs me not sure why!!

  • @locked825 The step father paid that boy off to do that to her so that she wouldn't tell the cops he was trying to rape her and her little sister. She would have no memory and be a vegetable.

  • ohhh i c now. i think. so he doesn;t want to remember shooting her sister so she agrees to get lobotomized. and her dreams and everything else was a state of mind when she was getting abused?

  • Sex is violence against women.

  • she looks so innocent :(

  • @SangtotheDy quite the point. her name was babydoll in the movie i think.

  • And so she imagines the asylum as a strip club and its torture for her, and she helps set her frineds free.. and to set herself free she has to live through hell for 5 days until she get a lombatany?

  • @bluesamg She thought she would be free as well, but the fifth and final thing was to sacrifice herself, her own life...to set her friend free. It was the only way. At the point she doesn't even care because she has nothing to live for. (didn't know she had a will her mother left her....sisters dead....moms dead...) Self sacrifice for the greater good..that being her friend

  • this music makes me cry every time... and not only because i almost destroyed my SP dvd :'(

  • i hate it when people completely miss the point of this film...and they constantly say sexual remarks and how sexy they are.....

the point of the film is to guide away from that....and to show female opression.

  • @QueenKeehl It doesn't show female oppression, it IS female oppression. Its a very big difference. BTW..you can't EVEN SPELL OPPRESSION, you twat. And this movie is constantly showing these girls frightened and wearing revealing clothing for no reason then exploitation. It has no purpose. It has no real world meaning at all.

  • @QueenKeehl ....well thats not really the point of the movie either

  • @QueenKeehl I disagree I think this movie IS about how sexy they are :)

  • ... Get that thing away from me... GET IT AWAY FROM ME! ... And SHUT OFF THE DAMN MUSIC! :p

  • I'm pretty sure that most of you know that every time baby doll dances, she is actually being sexually abused, and that that is why she goes in trance to another state of mind.

  • @JR2daResQ thats messed up, who sexually abuses her? i've never seen this movie.

  • To all of you who like this movie as much as I do, I suggest to do some research on MK-ULTRA kitten program. This is what this movie is bases on. Once you tie everything together, the movie images so much more sense.

  • This scene is so emotional...beautiful..

  • @EmoElliot i did i hate this endin why did she basicly get killed babydoll is the best character :(

  • this movie is genious a shame alot of dumb people dont understand it.

  • so fucking confused...any one want to explain it? :L

  • @Indiadancer1 The point of the film is that it is not actuallybabydolls story its sweet pees and babydoll accidently shoots her sister out of desperation to save her from her step dad so when babydoll gets labotomized she wants it to happen because she cant live with the guilt of shooting her sister and it will make her forget.

  • anyone tells me if she killed her sister accidentally and then she becomes mentally ill? i saw the beginning scene. she kinda shoots into the clothings room. i think she did

  • @phuditdiary Yes, she accidentally shoots her sister and the guilt from that event tortures her to the point that she is willing to undergo a lobotomy in order to forget it. I think that was kinda the point of the movie. She would rather live in her fantasy world, where she was in control, as opposed to living in the real world where she has no control.

  • @brownhornet22

Umm, thats not true at all... Did you even watch the movie?

  • Comment removed

  • @MiasmaResonance Yes...she did. The bullet she fires ricochets off the light bulb and hits her sister. That's how she died.

  • turned into a vegetabel?

  • @baileybushey u cant remember ANYTHING. You are labotised, you forget everyhting you knew so shes practically a vegitable

  • First movie I've ever seriously cried after watching. So good but so sad

  • somebody else ruining Where is my Mind ---___---

  • "You met me at a very strange time in my life."

  • This scene is REALLY sad, but that's why right after I watch /watch?v=TBYNOxLVj5Y This scene, if you've seen the movie without this uncut scene, makes the movie make a whole lot more sense. But I really love this movie.

  • this mad me cry and im a boy

  • the only bad thing in this movie: it´s not babydoll`s happy end :/

    still... beautiful song, beautiful scene

  • Movies and stuff like never get to me, but this song, and this movie, it gets me everytime. It hits parts of me that nothing else can hit, let alone see. This movie got so under-rated because and it's a sin, really. I could relate to it so well because i'm in my own fight, with my own pain. This movie makes me feel so alive and dead at the same time, it's like this beautiful numb feeling. This is one of the most beautiful peices of art i've ever had the joy of experincing.

  • I watched this movie 8 times in theater, and all 8 times i cried..

  • if you look closely, in this scene, Babydoll sees all the items she needs to escape: map, lighter, knife and key.

  • @Dillydaddle well done sherlock

  • maybe i should watch the movie...

  • @xxTaKe2xx Watch it. This is my favorite movie of all time. It made me laugh, left me at awe for it's amazing visual effects and great animation, it's great fighting scenes, dialogue and acting and left me crying at some parts. But if anything, I strongly suggest that you watch the extended version. That's the version I watched and had scenes that made it the best movie I've ever scene, which is why I wondered why people didn't like it.

  • Comment removed

  • this is one of my favorite scenes... I think of it almost everyday, this reminds me that no matter where I am, or what's happening, Im free, I try to let the pain go, to let the hurt go, to let the guilt go, because no matter where I am, what im going through, what they do to me, Im free, im always free, and they won't ever have me, no one can, cause im way out, forever free.

  • i never knew what a lobotomy was until i saw this movie.

  • It's disgusting how the stepfather and Blue are talking about how they're gonna be "taking care of" Babydoll right behind her back. :(

  • favourite scene in the movie because it shows the 5 things she needs to collect to escape such as Fire, Map, Knife, key and herself, i didnt pick that up till the second time watching the movie, BUT EMILY BROWNING BEST ACTOR EVER nothing else said

  • @LittleMissClemmensen did you also notice on the lighter it has a dragon ^^

  • Comment removed

  • Well that scene is rather unrealistic. First the patients layed on a table and didn't sit and second they got an electroshock before the lobotomy. Third both sides were lobotomized.

  • So did blondie and Amber die in the real world i know rocket did but i forgot about them. Anyone???

  • i love this scene <3

  • her false lashes really bother me throughout the whole movie. seriously.. she can have them on during the fantasy scenes but before getting lobotomized?

  • @MilkPudding hahahaha thats exactly what i was thinkin lols

  • Comment removed

  • @JFairy189 it was a procedure where people thought if they would stick a metal needle through the eye into the brain, it would descramble it and cure the retarded. Of course it didn't help, and now it's illegal to perform it. -.- yes it's gross...

  • what does it mean to be lobotomized???

  • @JFairy189 its a medical procedure where they cut into your brain severing the nerves that allow you to react to stimulus - for example speaking, expression, free thought all damaged by the operation. So you'd basically be a zombie vegetable. so sad...

  • @IsobelLois36 Um i cant help but ask..why are lobotomy's done?

  • @GaarasBlossom27 they were done in the 40's and 50's because they thought that it would cure depression, back pain and other chronic pains. so by sending the needle through you eye socket into your brain and swirling it around it destroys the connections in the frontal lob of your brain, the entire idea and procedure was just stupid because most people who had it done either died or were just like sheep, just brain dead or crazy

  • @tyleemax Oh i understand now.

  • @GaarasBlossom27 theyre not done in modern medicine anymore but back in the 50s they used to carry them out on mentally ill patients, mentally handicapped people and sometimes just who was considered weak in society. The president JFK's sister was actually meant to be the first recorded lobotomised person in the US - she suffered from manic depression. it was seen as a cure to misunderstood illnesses and i think its now illegal cos it was pretty messed up ur basically brain dead.

  • @IsobelLois36 Thank you.

  • i was actually crying like i thought they were gonna show it at the end.

  • One of the biggest OMG cringe moments I've ever seen on film...

  • Guys! I read all your comments here, your comments made me LOL! But personally, this scene is really beautiful but sentimental. The first time I saw Sucker punch made me disappointed, because, I thought among the 5 girls could possibly escape from the facility, but eventually only one escape it. All the fighting scene and the imaginary of Baby doll made the movie AMAZING! including the scene, the soundtracks, the actress with their make-ups! that's why I was inspired! It relates in my reality.

  • it took me awhile to realize what this movies really about poor babaydoll actaully tried to escape thats what those fight scenes were about her trying to escape but she obivously failed and had to accept her fate of lobotmy

  • Lobotomies are fucking crazy, the should be illegal.

  • @ArmadaRanger Lobotomies are illegal.

  • @Freshlywashed No they're not.

  • @ArmadaRanger Well this barbaric style of it is. It's a surgical procedure now - no more ice pick behind the eye.

  • If you'll pause at 2:01, there is the triangle on the back wall, the two ladies, and the doctor. In the high roller scene, there is a bed instead of a gurney, but there's still two ladies preparing her, and there's still the triangle on the back wall, and the doctor turns into the high roller. I JUST noticed that!!

  • Incredible... This song is suitable for this scene!

  • Don't let the IMDB rating prevent you from watching this movie, film geeks and movie critics sometimes are very cynical, this is a pretty good movie.

  • Babydoll sings this :)

  • best movie ever...forget what the critics say..it made perfect sense to me.

  • Who sings this song

  • @soccerjunky20 Yaov and Emily browning (Babydoll)

  • So.. what is the song in the first part?

  • After watching this movie the 3rd time, I finally get some parts of it. The sex slave and dancing was a figment of her imagination. Think about it, the mayor was the guy in the white holding the lighter...this movie is confusing, but an awesome movie.

  • The sad part is when she goes out side in front of all the people and she dies poo

  • @alliecat0303 She doesn't die

  • uno when i saw babydolls age "20" i LOL'ed.i was thinking "pfft yea right 20. shes more like 16 or 18". blame the stepfather for taking her into this place.

  • soo did the doc just hit her nerve in the eye? sad part though i didnt cry, just had something in my eyes thats all. amazing movie. *sniff sniff*

  • @number4111 He drove the pick thing through her eye/tear duct and into her brain. This process is called a lobotomy, which, as Blue the orderly explains, makes it so she won't even remember her name after it's done.

This was used in the 50s and such to 'cure' patients with schizophrenia or ones that were just too difficult to deal with.

  • just put yourself in babydoll's shoes unwillingly to be a sex slave and to get a lobotomy its so sad but that's why this movie is so much more than a movie

  • This seriously was the best scene. I thought the movie was alright but I'd watch this scene all day if asked to, so powerful. The emotions you feel when audio and visual are connected, strung together in such a beautiful way.

  • love it ! x

  • saddest scene ever

  • Sex kitten programing >.>

  • I love this movie but she shouldn't have went on with the plan she could have been lobotomized and forget everything but she could have kept her friends and meet them all over again

  • @WN427 That would be selfish. What she did, with letting Sweet Pea go, was a selfless act.

  • @XSt0n3rX i no you have a point but that was pretty selfish

  • @WN427 How exactly was it selfish? Sweet Pea wasn't even in the mental institution for the right reason, she was institutionalized because Rocket was. I'm guessing that he either truly killed the other girls by abusing them, who knows? All I know is that by the end of the movie, the only two girls left were Baby Doll and Sweet Pea. Even if they HAD stayed instead of carrying out with the plan, I don't think you understand the gravity of a lobotomy. It's like being alive but with no conscious

  • @XSt0n3rX oh well that makes more sense

  • abilities. She would never have been able to meet anyone all over again, there is no recovery from a lobotomy. It's like being a in a coma but being awake, except there's no way out of it. Baby Doll wanted her life and the plan she had carried out to mean something, and her sacrifice (after all, the lobotomy would have essentially "killed" her) for Sweet Pea was completely selfless and showed that she cared. And in the end, her lobotomy was not in vain; she helped Sweet Pea to escape.

  • @XSt0n3rX oh you make REALLY good points i never thought of it like that now i understand it even more thank you

  • @WN427 No problem, glad I could make things clearer for you. =) And I agree, it is so much more than a movie.

  • It's sad at the end how she forgets everything...

  • Babydolls face at 1:47 is just heartbreaking.

  • Comment removed

  • this scene makes my heart cry feel so sorry for the girls especially babydoll :( its so sad x

  • Amazing! To be honest, this scene made me cry when I saw Sucker Punch for the first time. I think it was the combination of Emily's heartbreaking performance and beautiful singing voice.
