  • Yeah wow I remember you stopped in Tom. That was when we first opened a small 800 sq ft studio. Damn I wish you still lived down here we have 2 facilities 6000 and 4200 sq ft now and started doing a lot of strongman and powerlifting.

  • I have trained there before, the red plates are 45 lbs bumpers (made by Wright). The total weight of the lift is 315 lbs or about 143 Kg.

  • u yell like a girl!

  • Right on guys. This is a CrossFit Gym that does a lot of Oly Lifts. We use pounds not Kilos. This is 315lbs. We are trying to learn from the Pro's like you all. Our goal is generalized while we love to Power Lift and Oly Lift but could never compete with Weightlifters. Or at least I thought so until this past week at the USAW / CrossFit Meet. Thanks to all you Oly Lifters for taking the time to help our technique.

  • This aggravates me. Contemplating buying a colored imperial set, you know American pride and all.

So the first one I see is from Werksan I believe, and there coloring sceme was cool, red 55's, blue 45's, yellow 35's and green 25's. So if the barbell was loaded with blues, yellows and greens you would actually have a bit more weight than the same with IWF standard plates.

Seems a lot of imperial plates have the lesser weight scheme, red 45's, blue 35's, yellow 25's and green 10,s.

  • what is this cause i know this isn't 170

  • @fir3bender maybe he was just having a really good day lol

  • @tomphillips105 i was like i know this man didn't pr like crazy in a matter of months

  • @fir3bender assuming that red plates are 45 lbs each + 20 kg olympic bar this would be something over 140 kg

  • @LesFayes 170 is six red plates but his snatch isn't that high six blues is 140 so you know i'm just wondering and it shouldnt be the straps because the fact he still doesnt do a an enourmous amount of weight with straps

  • @fir3bender the plates were maybe in pounds. 6x45 lbs + 20 kg bar = something about 141 kg
