  • y really prefer the daniel tidwell's version...

  • You know what, who cares when Jesus was born? He's still God, and he's still came to save us. His birth deserves to be celebrated, no matter when it was.

On topic of the song-I love this song, this is the first time I've heard Aly and Aj sing it and its pretty good.

  • He probably didn't exist

  • nice

  • I love this song !!!

  • good

  • Best wishes from Transylvania! I love many of the traditional Christmas songs. Christmas Day - my favorite holiday. I heard this song before, performed by Mariah Carey. And yours arrangement, I liked too!

  • the lord was born on christmas day in a manger 2011 years ago

  • @century1st Actually, he was born in the summer, but whatever...

  • @A13XR1DDL3 No he wasn't

  • @century1st actually it was more like year 31 BC or something, not year 0. Remember AD stands for after death.

  • @xXull AD is actually short for 'Anno Domini', which is Latin for 'In the Year of Our Lord'. It doesn't mean After Death, though it's an understandable conclusion. He actually died in around AD 31-35, not 31 BC.

  • @ ottawan613 when exactly was he born then??? He died on Easter.

  • @234mhmm He did not die on Easter he rose on Easter

  • They're great singers!

  • cooolllll

  • Jesus wasn't born on Christmas day =O

  • @ottawan613 Yes he was..

  • @iPutMyFaithInGod No he really wasn't. His birth was during spring, but was moved to replace a pagan midwinter holiday.

  • @FlashyCamouflage Actually no one knows when he was really born

  • @FlashyCamouflage Lies. What Religion are you?

  • @iPutMyFaithInGod My Religion hardly matters. Do a Google search after his real birthday if you don't believe me, but I will say that Christmas is as good a day as any to celebrate Jesus' Birth.

  • @FlashyCamouflage Kind of does. And Internet does not always tell the truth.

  • @iPutMyFaithInGod I agree, internet doesn't always tell the truth, but when even the wikipedia page about Christmas agrees with me I think you could give Googling a chance.

  • @FlashyCamouflage Wikipedia sucks, you can edit it! I dont trust the Internet. Might as well just read the the bible.

  • @iPutMyFaithInGod Actually, even the Bible can back up the theory that Christ wasn't born in the Winter time, because of the shepherds "abiding in the fields" keeping watch over their flocks by night. To this day, they don't have their sheep in the fields during the winter season because in that particular area, that is their rainy season. Mix that with the fact that it would make better sense to have a census when its good weather, chances are that He wasn't born on Christmas.

  • @Slimer2x3 Not to be rude or anything. But you where never in this convo. But it has NEVER, said anything about Chris not being born on the 25.

  • @iPutMyFaithInGod I know I haven't been here from the beginning, but I've been paying attention for the past few days. You're right, the Bible doesn't say anything about Christ not being born on the 25th, but it doesn't say He was born on the 25th either. So, the question I would ask is, how do we know He was born on Christmas if we didn't get that info from the Bible? If you have proof of otherwise, I would like to know it and teach the truth from here on out...

  • @Slimer2x3 From Christmas, we count backwards nine months to the annunciation. This is when the Archangel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary and offered her the opportunity to bear Christ in her womb. This is narrated in Luke, Chapter 1, verses 26-38. We also note that Elizabeth is "in her sixth month" which is very important to this calculation. So we take date of Christ's birth, - 9 months, equals the date of the annunciation.

  • @Slimer2x3 Elizabethis in her sixthmonth at the date of the Annunciation In Luke 1, Zechariahwas performing priestlyduty in the Temple when an angel told his wife Elizabeth she would bear John the Baptist. Each of the 24 classes of Jewish priests served one week in the Temple, and Zechariahwas in the eighth class. Rabbinical traditionfixed the class on duty when the Temple was destroyed in the year 70 and, calculating backward from that, Zechariah's class would have been serving Oct 2-9 in 5 B.C

  • @Slimer2x3

So from the first week in October, we add 24 weeks (4 weeks per month times six months), and we come to a date between March 20th and March 27th. Add nine months to that, and we have a date for Christ's birth between December 20th and December 27th

  • @iPutMyFaithInGod Thats very interesting, I don't think I've ever heard it put that way before. It does leave me to wonder though. You said that "Rabbinical tradition" fixed the eighth priestly class was on duty when the 2nd Temple was destroyed in A.D. 70, is there any information to support that it was the Abijah class on duty during hat time? I haven't been able to find any...

  • @Slimer2x3 You should have.

  • @iPutMyFaithInGod have you been able to? If so, care to share?

  • @Slimer2x3 Google it. xDD

  • @iPutMyFaithInGod Funny thing is, I did, and I came across several websites that say almost verbatim, the exact thing you said, but nothing that I've come across can answer my question. Since you're the one that shared this information, I was hoping you'd provide an answer for me...

  • @Slimer2x3 Well, I really dont have a answer for that question about Abijah.

  • prove it? that is just a tired pseudo-fact that people have been tossing around to seem smart for longer than I can recall. There is just as much, if not more, evidence of a winter birth than a spring birth.

  • @FlashyCamouflage He was reborn in Spring and born in Christmas got to church and learn the actual way he was born if ya don't believe me.

  • @FlashyCamouflage But it wasn't on Dec 25 because the true reason for having Christmas they say that day the Jews have been killed...Thats what they say search in Google true reason for having Christmas...
