  • Holy Crap, what a great job!... No... What an OUTSTANDING job doing this Speed-run! D:.

Damn, And I thought I was like the first one to do a speed-run without Tool-Assistment, but seems like I am way too late XD.

    Congrats :D

  • OH MY GAWD, FLYING WAFFLES IN THE CASTLES! lol thats what me and my cousin used to say. lol

  • dude the flute sound to teleport is the same flute sound in zelda o.o

  • Man, I love how human these speed runs are (and no, that's not sarcasm). Good stuff, I'd enjoyed watching this more than the tool assisted one that has been out for a long time.

  • great vid andrewg1990!!! nice!

  • era daora entigamente agora tem novas qualidades dele como no do nintendo wii

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • HOLY FUCKING GOD..UR ASOWME DUDE!!!!!!!!!

  • Great job VIRGIN!

  • yea, this is actually an OLDDD video, it's been on ebaums world since 2005, it's not this guys video. Also, it's a japanese version of the game, probably modded like some of you on here are suggesting, I think i'm going to make a SM3 vid and post it, I'll use either the original NES SM3 or the SM all stars for SNES, eitherway, I'll show putting the cartridge in and everything just to make it 100% authenticated. From what I remember, my fastest time was like 13 minutes and some seconds.

  • @ProphetOdeth more like, watch the video. This is not a Japanese emulated speedrun.

  • @ProphetOdeth I understand why you'd think that considering it's the same length time-wise, however you are mistaken. The Japanese run was actually faster due to it having delayed fade-ins when entering levels. Japanese and US versions differ mainly due to the amount of time entering levels. My time if converted to a Japanese time would be like 11:15. If you don't believe me, notice the English text in level 1-3.

  • @andrewg1990 yea, now that I think about it, idk if it was truely a japanese version of the game, I think it may have just been a japanese player? which linked in my mind to the game version being japanese.

  • @ProphetOdeth why must it be a japanese? I'm Filipino and I can play the same way as this guy. It takes practice and getting familiar with levels to play like this. My brother and I always play mario in our youth. He's Mario , I'm Luigi. The fact that some people who didn't play this classic very well is not reason enough to debunk players who can play with superb skills.

I saw the japanese who played the SMB3 speed run with hundred lives.no kills, no hits. This is a different player.

  • It easy to program mario game to do perfect moves all the way.. Cant say im impressed.....

  • @Raptus1975 Nah, this was done on console with nothing of that sort. This record wasn surpassed by another speedrunner recently, he beat me by about 12 seconds... his run is amazing.

  • @andrewg1990 Is he on youtube? I'd love to see it.

  • AT 4MINUTES... when you get to the ship. WHY didn't you swim under the entire ship??? that is SO MUCH EASIER than going throught the whole thing. ??

  • 1101 nearly 101.. lol

  • you beat that japanese guy who got all the 1ups?

  • That was an emulated (tool assisted speedrun) That guy used slowdown and rerecords to make the video. This does not beat that time because that was the PAL version (which runs slower). This is about 15 seconds slower or so.... but this was done on an actual system.

  • @andrewg1990 Thats not the PAL version, the japanese version.

  • that guy was amazing.....i died a bunch of times in that level XD

  • 1:13...if you press down , don`t you win a few seconds???

    Great speedrun !

  • I was holding down the whole time ;)

  • how do u use those cards?? or what are they for?

  • They are for taking 1-ups.

    3 stars = + 5 lives,

    3 fire-flowers = +3 lives,

    3 mushrooms = +2 lives

  • Comment removed

  • greatest game ever

  • is there a point in releasing the feather and not getting it, or just passing the time??

  • Passing the time. I was thinking about getting it actually, but there was no point. I accidentally lost my tail to begin with.

  • How do you this do at 01:18 ?

  • Just press DOWN button on white block on 01:13

  • Still an awesome run to watch!
