@nepadude they are saying that this pair has a very good technique that allows them to be very individual in their skating and the only support to each other they need to give is moral support. But then they compare them with the british pair which "has more soul in their dance" than this pair.

they or Virtue-Moir should have won this event, they deserved at least the silver. and I think the audience liked this performance much more than the others.

1st or 2nd (I can't decide it, because I love them) Virtue-Moir, Davis-White

3rd Kerr-Kerr

I read a rough translation somewhere and I think it said that the commentators were arguing - one or two of them didn't like it maybe?

I am a fan of D/W, but I'm still curious to know what was said. I don't expect everyone to like D/W.

WOW! the battle off! davis/white or virtue/moir? i think in this event, davis/white beat them big time. but virtue/moir is on the podium, so that's not fair, and i'm a virtue/moir fan.

I agree with you, I loved Virtue/Moir's FD but this was far better technically (they did get the highest technical mark BTW), there was great speed and flow, it was far better than every other couple in the FD. It was also very good artistically, not incredibly creative but beautiful and not boring. However I still think Virtue/Moir should have been on the podium, instead of D/S and B/A :D

I like Tessa and Scott's FD it was very cool and unique feeling, but I love Meryl and Charlie's FD it won me over. So I guess I'll have these too couple on top of the podium and I agree that B/A were scored too high in FD. Not good judging here.

Oh man, I WISH I had a translation of this! I love the Russian commentators, I just wish I knew what they were saying. One of them sounds very passionate near the end.

i should have clarified - there's one russian commentator (i have no idea what his name is) who seems to be the default commentator for most events and i like him. i've never heard the other two before, but then i've never watched russian coverage of worlds before.

when i first watched this video, i thought one of the commentators was yelling at the end b/c they thought d/w should have a higher score. evidently not :/ thanks for telling me what they said, though.
