But every decade, the British film monthly Sight & Sound asks an international group of film professionals to vote for their greatest film of all time. The first poll in 1952 said Bicycle Thieves which is an Italian Movie which is brilliant but for the last 5 polls it has been Orson Wells, Citizen Kane as number one.

The greatest movie ever made is Citizen Kane. It is not even my favorite movie but technically and if you know any thing about film history it is the greatest movie ever made.
