I'm sure the reason that adult beardies subsist mostly on greens in the wild is probably because rodents big enough to make a meal for them are hard to come by and not fat & lazy like the average domestic mouse. That being said, a rodent "snack" is fine for them once in awhile and if you have a female that your breeding, maybe even two or three times in awhile!
