  • This smoothies costs $199 per serving...lol

  • She's like a robot

  • @Suthenboy Is the human body prepared to eat all these things he's putingt together? It seems to be imposible to drink all that stuff, it's just my humble opinion. Untill few months ago, I ignored a lot of things related to raw food world, and I'm still ignoring many things. I'm just starting to learn about it.So, gracias from basque country, north east of españa (or spaain, as you prefer).

  • @hardsixteenyeah1 There may be some "food combining" issues with this ultimate smoothie but the average person's body is so starved of nutrition and desensitized that this drink would be the best thing they had in decades. As you refine your diet complex food items, even raw, become excessive. De nada from Michigan, USA.

  • @hardsixteenyeah1 try making this for yourself to see if it's good or not; what else is a better way to know? None of this stuff will make you sick unless over-consumed (as with most things).

  • @Suthenboy Extraordinary information.Thank you very, very much for the spanish subtitles. They're a great help for me (I can imagine that they're also very good for another not english speakers. David Wolfe's knowledges are so wide ...

  • Mannnn ,, i can't WAIT to get my money so i cud shop for these ingredients and make this everyday !!!

  • I don't really need to know exactly what each ingredient that David is using, does...All I need to know is that they are good for me and just use them...Of course, most of us don't have all those ingredients that David used, but if we use 5 or 6 really good ingredients in our smoothies, we'll be good...I haven't used goji berries in my smoothies yet, but I will do that very soon...I'm very curious about how it tastes.

  • awesome

  • im sure david wolfe has now figured out that agave is actually worst than high fructose corn syrup

  • vegan for the win!

  • She seems to know a lot. But there is no joy, like David is showing in every moment!

This drink is too damn expensive, but if you happen to have the ingredients: go for it! (at least once!)

  • i think shes mildly retarded

  • I love David's work; I have been a vegetarian for 15 years (since 1994) and all his stuff is right on. Reishi mushroom tea - been drinking for over a year. Green tea a few years several times a day. So I know how to introduce something new in the diet.

However, at min 2:48 when he said "goji berries" I felt like throwing up violently. So in 1 min I was vomiting like there was no tomorrow. I had read all the legends surrounding it, the 252 year old man and pages of testimonials of healing.

  • @RajaBegun Am I the only one who simply eat them as they are?

I can stuff myself with xxx and feel great! I usually feel that my cells are getting more oxygen and general energy for hours after I eat them.

If you ever want to hear about xxx again, try eat them as they are on an empty stomach. That's how I do it.

  • I just wished I did not have such a strong reaction to it. I started on gojis about a month ago in smoothies twice a day. Then decreased, as I saw I was able to only eat a bit. Stopped blending them. The last couple of days were the worst, (I was off from work.) On the toilet every 30 min only passing liquid and vomiting. This was no gastro, I know it was triggered by gojis. It happened before (just the vomiting) so I took it easy, had stopped for a while and restarted. I have no known allergies.

  • But now that's it for me. a couple of times standing today I felt that was it, that I was gonna pass out and should call 911. I made it to the bedroom got some relief with bedrest. My BP was 90/80 when I took it (i am a nurse, no past medical history.)

More violent rxn than the first time, and have tried blending organic gojis too.

I know I don't want to see them again for many years. And if that's the stuff that the venerable old Li Ching-Yuen used to feed on, I just cannot have it.

  • What did David add at the end? Thanks

  • Agave.

  • @komokujin, thanks for the info!

  • Snooty interviewer has something up her arse- good video otherwise

  • Chemists scientists and nutritionists that dismiss superfoods are either retarded or on someone's payroll. Myself and many of my friends have been eating superfoods for years now and we're NEVER sick. We're healthy vibrant and happy. We see people on conventional diet are constantly getting sick. Always tired cranky and irritable. I don't care how many tests you do. The proof is in the pudding. Or the smoothie in this case.

  • @ramcity You are comparing apples and oranges. Too much enfasis on so called "superfoods", you cannot make a meal out of "superfoods".

  • @apocalist420 I do and I have. The the results have been fantastic. On a nutritional level they're much better than the Standard American Diet (S.A.D.) But we are human and variety is the spice of life so I recommend a superfood smoothie or two every other day and good clean healthy regular food the other days. (Plenty of raw fruits and vegetables) Then eat what you want on the weekends go on and have that hamburger or Pizza. That way your nutrition is optimized but you still get to have fun.

  • @ramcity

I'm a nutritionist myself and I think you're right - a lot of people are missing the boat on superfoods. But, like David said, the nutritional field is evolving so fast that superfoods are really just coming into vogue on a grand scale in the last few years. I also haven't been sick in well over 10 years, not even a cough or cold.

  • @ramcity great comment except for the word 'retarded' , you are just putting down intellectually handicapped people who cannot defend themselves. There are many other words of choice.

On a lighter note, we love David Wolfe (saw him again just a fortnight ago) and make super nut mylk smoothies, super green smoothies everyday! They are delicious and nutritious!

  • the myelin sheath of the neurons, are made of fat, as are Schwann cells [pressure sensor cells]

  • your chemistry has created half health problems. Raw foods are healthy. He meant making your nervous system work better..

for someone who is the no one fan of chemistry you are not that smart are you?

  • What's So Funny To Me Is That Everyone Has Something To Say About How Expensive The Foods Are And I Wish I Could Afford That....Cmon, If You Really Care About Your Body And Understand Your Responsible For Your Own Financial Abundance..Stop Complaining! Get Money > But People Wil Go Spend $30 or $40 dollars on a Bottle Of Vodka Or Grey Goose Like It's OK WOW Whatever....Peace

  • Hi, I'm still amazed that he eats ants. For B12. If raw fruits and stuff wont supply you with it, the diet alone isn't the answer for anything. I'v tried fruits again today...after a couple of hours my teeth started to hurt just like before. It was just a simple smoothie with romaine, mango and banana. Darn...Nay, I'm sticking to all raw meats (yes, now I've come this far...). Wow, I'd never thought I'd do that! For two days I've had a new level of energy. Weird indeed.

  • You should try a new toothpaste, like Sensodyne. Or have your dentist give you a flouride solution to brush on your teeth at night.

  • Theres tons of research that show that floruide is actually TOXIC to the body so its probably not the best solution.

  • More like most expensive smoothie ever! Who can afford ALL those things first of all. And second of all, i'm all for a great smoothie, but i'm also of the mind that the body assimilates simple combinations a whole lot better than trying to digest a thousand different things from a thousand different geographical origins all at the same time.. Different enzymes are required to digest different things, and this just seems overkill at best.Just sayin.

  • Im doing it. :) Have been for a year now actually. You just find a good bulk supplier and everything works pretty synergistically with each other. You get to know the amounts depending on what feels right. In terms of geographical, i eat my dandilions too, but also see myself as more of a planetary kind of a person :)

  • I understand where your coming from BUT the raw foods have all enzymes in tact I've been making similar smoothies for a couple weeks now and Im feeling so amazing. I still ate bad the first week but all my bad cravings are dying off now! Expense? Yeah the first time I went shopping for this stuff I spent over $100 And I felt like I was crazy Now? I will sacrafice all to make sure I can afford my superfoods But now I'm saving for a vitamix $400!!! Gotta do it!

  • @Daztents what about the complexity of most processed foods, with their paragraph long ingredient lists and whatnot.

  • @robuzy Well I don't consider most processed foods food, rather "edible food-like substances"--so that's not a comparison I would make. In the grand scheme of things, I would rather spend the bulk of my food money on fresh, local organic produce that grows in my region and eat simple, healthful foods. No one diet works for everyone as every person is different and assimilates foods differently. So everyone needs to listen to their bodies and see what it responds to well, and also not well.

  • @Daztents oh i see, yea i agree with you actualy. but some of these superfoods are still awesom

  • @Daztents

I see your point, but when you're buying in bulk (like a bag of maca), it lasts you for quite a while. In the end, you're not paying much more than you normally would. Second, you don't need to have all this stuff, just add things as you see fit and play around with them. Third, there is a synergy with combining all of these things together because many vitamins and minerals depend on each other for proper absorption. When you get them from a variety of sources, you're better off.

  • @Daztents I agree that most of us can't afford all those things that David put in his smoothie, but, it's very easy to digest because of all the live enzymes present in the ingredients he used and because everything has been broken down via the Vita-mix...Of course, most of us won't have all those ingredients on hand, but this demonstration shows that we can use whatever we have on hand and also shows what's possible if we want to take things to the next level and then the next level, and so on.

  • @Daztents He did this as a demo, but even David says (if you go see him) to alternate. Buy the superfoods to target the specifics you need to, eg: Maca for the endocrine system, cats claw for the immune etc, and of course the one's you enjoy most and that you can afford.

  • i am a vegan , with a tendancy towards raw foods

  • who cares?

  • I think it's the fifth time I see your comment on his videos. Get a life, nobody cares.

  • and by the way , dont do anything that is gonna hurt you , it is not the right path , if you can see that you are about to do something which is difficult , go and sit by a plant , and think of me , and i will channel healing to you

  • kucinich might be shouting wake up america , im shouting wake up the uk , some things are taking b***** ages to change round here , but there is enough good to get us through to the balanced relms , its just a matter of giving up all those silly things that are exhausting and replacing them with simple things

  • he is really intelegent.

    thank you

  • Great smoothy, and only $50 a pop

  • Yes this guy has it going on, but come on rainbows & what ever. Hey in high school we used to smoke a joint and bake crazy ass cookies. This guy went to Thailand or India got really fucked up & now he's raiding health food stores & having heath nuts bow down. He's extremely knowlegable but his funky shakes are a little to rub a dub to stylie mon. crazy white man!!!

  • i just sat through a chemistry lecture in college and my professor got into anti oxidants and he got into the pigments of color deal... I had alrdy seen this video and i was surprised they both matched up haha

  • Who knows how much it really cost? I do not know many people that are willing to pay 900 on smoothies a month. Is every thing Mr.Wolf recommends that expensive? Does he recommend paying 90 dollars a day on food? I do not think that would be logical for most people.

  • this is like a 30 dollar smoothie. i wish i could afford this

  • i am having a smoothie know, one litre take me one hour!!! It contains wild nettels, organic cucumber, organic cale, some cherry leafes, wild blueberry, 2 small organic bananas. The only thing i bought is the bananas. This wonderful super nutrious smoothie (1 litres) costs me less than 2 dollars and keeps me going almost the whole day.

  • Interesting point: cost. How much? It looks and sounds great, but it also looks expensive. Also, how often would one need to drink/eat this to get the stated health benefits? Once a day, a week, a month? Occaisionally?

  • What was the name of the fruit at the beginning.

  • Brazilian acai

  • I wish someone would give a good explanation of enzyme inhibitors.

  • Enzyme inhibitors are natures way of preventing nuts, seeds and beans from sprouting under less than optimal conditions. When ingested they prevent optimal digestion and can make you sick. Soaking, sprouting and even cooking can deactivate these inhibitors. Chia and hemp don't have inhibitors so they rock! Soaking nuts and seeds in water with a little food grade h202 for 6 hours is effective for deactivating ihibitors and unlocking their nutritional potential.

  • AH i see. Thank you much.

  • @Suthenboy is 1 hour soak good enough for nuts ?

  • what kind of super blender is this? Ahhh vitamix.

  • Why wouldn't you just grind up whole cacao beans & put them in....instead of adding the nibs plus the powder plus the cacao butter? The beans would have everything. Am I missing something here?

  • I don't think you can eat Cacao beans whole...I think you have to shell them to get to the nib..which is the part that you want to eat. As far as why he put the powder in also? I don't know. And the butter? Not sure but I'm guessing it contains other ingredients or parts of the Cacao plant.

  • He said because it would have more flavour.

  • sambazon is GARBAGE. amazon-mania is the only real acai you can get outside of brazil.

  • hey ive been eating sambazon, what is wrong w it compared to amazon mania?Im curious bc ive never heard of amzon mania...sounds interesting

  • sambazon is pasteurized and contains additives, while amazon-mania is truly raw and wildharvested and contains no additives. if youve ever had real acai in brazil you would instantly recognize that sambazon looks, smells, and tastes NOTHING like acai. amazon-mania on the other hand brings you back to brazil the second you cut open a bag and smell it. its AWESOME. infinitely better than sambazon's fake purple crap.

  • Thank you! lol i had been having the sambazon amazon cherry as snacks bc i couldnt stand the almost nasty taste of sambazons acai.Have u ever had Bossa nova acai drinks? Is their taste more similar to real acai?

thanks again, im def going to order some amazon mania like right now :)

  • never had bossa nova, but id assume its pasteurized also, which means it wont be like real acai. also, acai goes bad if it is not frozen immediately after being harvested, so the acai juice drinks are all garbage.

i should warn you that acai has no sugar and by itself is not at all sweet. you NEED to blend it with fruit or something else for it to be good. some people also like to add raw honey, but personally that gets a bit too sweet for me.

  • as for the amazon-mania, its awesome...glad you ordered some. one of my favorite simple recipes is to blend 2 packs of acai raw with 1 banana and water as needed(try to keep it as thick as possible). i like it just like this, but you can make more of a meal out of it by putting it in a bowl and adding some mixed berries on top(some people add granola and a drizzle of honey too).

  • another one of my favorites makes it taste like a delicious dark chocolate dessert:

    ~1/4 cup dried goji berries

    2-3 packs acai raw

    handful of raw cacao nibs

half scoop natural vanilla whey protein

    water as needed

  • It would also be good to know where in Asia one can get such stuff [does anyone have an idea?]... at a price that is affordable for mere mortals ....

  • Too bad he charges so much for his products.

  • Check out dandelion coffee. And I think that cold brewed coffee is good and better for you anyway. By the way, that Sambazon acai is pasteurized. Look for Unpasterized acai like AcaiRaw from Amazon-Mania. Best of health to all!

  • Amazon-Mania's acai is much better. It's raw and doesn't have any soy lethicin or any other preservatives. They have another product called AcaiTwist, which I drink every day, and I'm completely addicted. It tastes better than any acai drink I've had in or out of Brazil.

  • Was he using coffee in its raw form? Does anyone know what it was? Brand?

  • He didn't use coffee... and I don't think you can do raw coffee. It was just a ingredient he adds for his non-raw friends...

  • Could you PLEASE post the list of ingredients bec I missed the brazil berry that they were talking about. ???

  • The brazilian berry he was referring to was the acai berry. The product used was pure acai smoothie pack. More info at sambazon website.

  • Very enjoyable, I love smoothies and wanted to see how David did this one. Not sure about the coffee though!
