  • I agree on the Macbook. My radio teacher has had his Macbook for 6 years and it is just about as good as my 2 year old Dell Studio 1737. I am in the progress of saving money for a Macbook Air. The one I got picked out is a DJ's best friend.

    17-inch: 2.4 GHz

    2.4GHz quad-core

    Intel Core i7

    4GB 1333MHz

    750GB 5400-rpm1

    Intel HD Graphics 3000

Can't wait to get it. Western Digital is what I use for my external hard drive. Had it for three years.

  • I've got every mac there is out so get a mac pro 17" I got that and am only 12 yet get loads a money from gigging

  • The JBL MP415's were sweet sounding speakers. Too bad they don't make them anymore. I got myself a pair of the JBL PRX615m's with a pair of JBL PRX618s-XLF's. I know you said you weren't crazy about the PRX500's, but the 600's are definitely an improvement over those.

  • how many speakers

  • nice gear bro

  • i rock yamaha concert series s115v tops sw118vbottoms furman crossover bbe sonic maximiser peavy 231 eq i have two acer laptops 7551-7422 both identical

  • i wish my garage had all the speakers and subs you have:)

  • sell your prx 515 and buy PRX 600, just buy them or chuck norris will move his finger towards you...

  • the jbl 515 is that the active with crown amp

  • the jbl speakers is that the active with crown amp

  • fuck you you illiterate bastard

  • hook ya boy up with some old gear.i use 2 jvc 15s.there ok.but they bottom out.

  • i guess you never heard eaw,qsc ,yorkville or rcf speakers bang with a dbx driverack processing the sound if you think those jbl's are so great. The only jbl series that can hang with the above are the srx series of speakers. You're right about the 3500's though. Alot of problems,I thought the dns 5000 were much better, but nothing beats a good set of technic 1200's. Good vid post up some mix vids.

  • @civicdoc u mentioned my 4 fav brands haha

  • i guess you never heard eaw,qsc ,yorkville or rcf speakers bang with a dbx driverack processing the sound if you think those jbl's are so great. The only jbl series that can hang with the above are the srx series of speakers.

  • Never heard the term "bass bomb" like that before... I like it!

  • And i only just started classes and want this as a career

  • I'll Be More Than Happy To Take Those JBL PRX515 Off Your Hands Lol

  • He's right get a MAC!!

  • Recently noticed alot of DJs using subs less and less, personally im the same way if i dont need to I just rent some 15's for middle/smaller events.. It takes alot for me to go through the hassle of getting ahold of subs, and when i do i use CV 18's dont know too much but they all sound good and within the price i get the guy out to come play sound tech for the night...

  • Probably should have done more research before buying the PRX 515s because the efficiency and clarity of 3 way speakers is atrocious. Unless using an active crossover and then biamping the speakers. But since they are powered that isn't an option.

  • hey man nice gear im looing at gettin g some decent speaking i was looking t the jbl jrx 115 are they any good also i was looking at intimiation int 115 x and that also behringer, and wharfedale could you help me thanks joe

  • Why does it seem no one can pronounce "Denon" correctly? It's NOT "Den-ON". Good grief.

  • @Site4Animation Can you pronounce "Fuk-OFF"?

  • @BlacRiot Well, that's a mature reply. It's not just you buddy, I've heard LOTS of people pronounce it wrong.

But, based on your reply, I can see you lack any form of a decent education.

    Grow up.

  • @Site4Animation and u need to prononce FUK THE HELL OFF!!

WHAT THE FUK WRONG WITH YOU U DICK FACE!!

  • @mrzkhan1 Again, typical ignorant response from an ignorant, uneducated fool.

    Go back to school.

  • @Site4Animation yet again we have another ignorant modafaka that tries his hardest to be a wannabe thug but is as annoying as a bug that i could stap on u soo hard and for fuk sake, wat the fuk is ur problem you got issues in ur head that u need to sort out, go back to the hole u came from and go see ur cycoligist-cycotristionist.

i am only fukin 13,u fukin been bought up wiv no manners or self respect.

    go fuk ur self

  • @mrzkhan1 Wow, looks like your education is going great! lol

I guess you go to the school of trailer trash. Right?

  • @Site4Animation did u see ur cyciatrist?

u forgot to go to that hole u came from and btw,u did'nt get educated as u can't

    afford one.

ur momma soo fat she got baptised at seaworld

  • @BlacRiot well said

  • @Site4Animation more like de-non right? :)

  • @Site4Animation who realy cares????? like wtf??

  • @Site4Animation How is it pronounced then? The Denon rep in the UK says 'Den-On'.

  • @Site4Animation From this comment I can tell you are VERY self centered! The world doesnt work the way YOU want it to work, and you think that way you are sadly mistaken. Incase you didn't know language, dialect, and ACCENT vary all over the country, and with specific accents come different pronunciations. So start being so ignorant and self-centered and start thinking about other people.

  • love jbls me mate has 2 jbl jrx 125 there amazing

  • The SRX728 isn't a brilliant sub, it's got the 18" flap which gives a muddy bass sound. If you are playing modern electronic music you are much better off with 15" drivers in your subs.

I'm not a big fan of JBL, if you want real top end then your options are either Nexo, D&B or Martin Audio.

  • @chazhs

yeah I love the kick of a 15" vs 18'

  • Never herad the the MP series yet Iam sure they are great....Iherd the SRX 725 they are insane loud.....no sub is needed trust me.....lol....I think u should look in to them since you are a high end guy and u know your stuff....you would love them....Iam currently saving up for one to go with my B-52 LX-18V2!Nice video bro!!

  • Peavy all im saying got 2 massive ones not sure on the watts but we have only blown one speaker and that was because we ran to much power over 1500 wat

  • Peavey are not very good.

  • GREAT VIDEO u have some great stuff, but don't agree on one comment, that you need a mac to dj!! that si so wrong and i'm very sorry here, but i have to correct you, i had my gateway for 7 years with just one crash, i clean it out and have been flawless ever since is a cheap gateway laptop 1.7gb ram with 250gb hd drive i run itch software and ableton (not at the same time) need more memory. for years i have been looking for a reason to buy a mac. no reason yet!

  • Western Digital ( or WD ) and Seagate are your friends man. Ive had a WD hard drive work for 5 years and it broke when i dropped the shit but they last and they are like 5 dollars more then everybody else but thats a lot better then losing your music. Peace!

  • i was looking for info on amp equipment for guitars. haha. came across this. DJing looks hella hard now. haha. Respect. your stuff looks solid man.

  • You kidding me? All that talk, and you don't have nothing to show.

Go lie to someone else you fake!

  • @BlacRiot I agree thats just complete bullshit. 9'000 watts?lmao.

  • @BlacRiot He's not lying... in fact he's well known on DJ Forums, the biggest DJ discussion website known currently. Nice down and out of your ass though.

  • That's cool bro, actually these days I'm using Yorkville EF500p's for most of my gigs.

Maybe you can do a video on your awesome JBL speakers.

We'll be looking out for it.

  • When you're super rich, it's gotta be Meyer Speakers. I've never been much of a JBL fan. Martin lighting is really good though ;-)

  • Damn man it's like im in guitar center or something looking at your equipment. Nice gear , and nice review. Thanks for sharing. Dj Antoine !!!!!!!!!

  • Hey..what type of speakers would u prefer for small party like house or basement party?

  • dam dud i gust you havent herd of yourk vile p850 or the tx 4 or turdo sound hay get out that box

  • Aight, thanks for the comment.

    Quick correction: it's Yorkville.

    Which ones do you use?

  • 77,000 Fuck....i thought a had alot.

  • The loop problem with your CDJs is with SSL. You need to make sure your in ABS mode to do it correctly.

  • Enjoyed your video, peace.

    Noez!

  • hey man how much ram u got on ur laptp and wound u recomended do mess aroung with vdj >plz help

  • You barely use the powered JBL speakers!?!?! Do you wanna sell them?

  • is ur laptop 2 gig ram

  • hey watz up caz is that the regular mac the 13.1 in

  • Thanks for the info! Those JBL speakers you are talking about are discontinued. Are the JBL SRX series speakers any good?

  • @Ayanami0001

there are the top of lineVERTEC, then VRX, then SRX, then EON and TR series...

  • Dj Caz, Youda man ,Great video,Thanks for keepin' it real.

  • i got a pair of 800 mkII's. amazing gear man, worth every penny

  • that loop error on ur cdj is because of serato

the dns3500 are pretty gay they overheat alot

the wd book hardrives are good and reliable

but why not a pioneer mixer tho?

for the price of that rane mixer

you should of got a djm 700

    to match those pioneers

  • Thanks for the luv bro!!

I've been using Rane for the past 12 to 13 years.

The Rane ttm57sl I currently use is probably the most coveted mixer in the world right now.

    I also have the Rane MP24z (my favorite)....what can I say...I'm a rane fanatic.

    -Keep it Rockin'

  • yeah rane mixers are built touch

but pioneer mixers are just as good

  • I'm not a fan of the PRX's either, not JBL's better stuff for sure.

  • Yo caz let me know if you ever decide on getting rid of those prx 515's. I was interested in them. Can you hook me up and get a vid of them in action.. I wanna see what they sound like.

I got a pair of powered speakers but I need a pair with more kick. Thanks Bro! Keep in Rockin!

  • YES. I use JBL MP415 MPro Series speakers and I love them. They are solid, loud, clear and most of all reliable.

  • Nice video!!! DJ Miey Mike

  • Nice job bro. That last comment about the TTM57 is another selling point. Not that anyone wants to DJ w/o tables or cd players, but if something S**Tz out on you at a gig, you can go INTernal if uhave to. I had a gig outside and was using 1200s; the vinyl kept flying off w/ the wind so I had to go INTernal. Nobody ever noticed that night. Keep puttin' in work.

  • lol..that sounds crazy with the wind blowin your vynil off the 12.

    Thanks for the comment

    -Keep it Rockin'

    -Caz

  • MP 415s ROCK!

  • Yo, you know it's funny the tweeters on my powered JBL's went like twice that's why i'm not happy with them.

Yesterday 7/24 I picked up a pair of powered Yorkville EF500p's (they're heavy, but they're no joke)

    Thanks for the comment.

    -Keep it Rockin'

    -Caz

  • I got the WD Book HD so far has never failed on me and is crazy fast

    77000 song dammnnn

    i only got 18000

    DJ C

  • hell yeah! great equipment! i also have a macbook and a WD myBook, with this two guys you gonna be rockin the party!

the only thing i have to say is that i prefer TORQ over SERATO, and for the mixer i more like the pioneer djm400.

for the speakers: JBL rules !!!

  • nice Equipment man

  • QSC is the best way to go... Crown was the shit but QSC is very light weight and packs the same power. Mackie is good too but its pretty heavy.

  • I agree.. Rane + Mac = DOing it RIght!

  • i gotta get a mac then.lol HP laptops are not bad tho.

  • lol..You're absolutely right bro. Laptops are not bad & they do the job.(I just feel a lil more comfortable using a mac for my serato). Thanks for the comment.

    All the best & remember....

    -Keep it Rockin'

  • I feel your pain...I've gone through a bunch of external hard drives. Do yourself a favor and make sure it's not just the power supply. You can buy a power supply enclosure for about $20-30 and then just swap out your hard drive.

  • Great Video Man...Its Crazy How Those Smaller JBLs Are The Best Speakers You Ever Used...I Always Thought The More Watts...or The Bigger The Size...The Better...Anyways...JBL Speakers Are The Best...hahaha...Laterz...

  • Hey Caz, diggin' the Texas cap! You have alot of great equipment. Once I get rollin with my business, I hope to have alot of equipment to choose from. Good vid!

  • Thanks bro! All the best to you with your biz.

Just wanted to show some love to the DJ's doing it up in Texas.

    -Keep it Rockin'

  • Great vid. Nice gear.

  • i use a external harddrive,i got a wd 500 gb. i'm working on getting all my music on it. i need 2 two of them because i have a very, very, very heavy cd collection and album collection. i do have tapes but u now tapes get when they sit for along time. but love your vids man keep it coming.

  • Hey Caz..I myself do not like powered speakers and I have to say that JBL is the top of the line when it comes to sound. You are right about using a Mac instead of PC I use a Power Book G4 and also carry a 500 gig Buffalo external that I highly recommend and I also take cds just incase to use with my Denon 3500 which are ok but I prefer Pioneer.Digin' the cap Hook' EM Horns...I am actually attending The University of Texas majoring in Film production.Always digin' your gig logs.

    Practice & NJOY!

  • All the best to you in your studies.

    -Keep it Rockin'

  • Thanks!

  • HEY CAZ, SO YOU have your music and mix it from the external harddrive? I've heard it's not reliable... so you don't like powered speakers then? or just those jbl's?

  • Indeed, I have to say I'm not big on powered speakers.

As for external harddrives, It can rob you of peace of mind, but I always carry CD's with the hottest & most common music used (just in case)but after 2 years nothing's ever gone wrong at a gig.
