  • Wasn't this promo like, long lost? I'm amazed it was found.

  • Wait, that's Elec Man not Bright Man. The person who made the script couldn't even get the name right. Shows how much actual interest they had in the game besides $.......not to mention all the money talk thrown about in the promo.

  • I'm honestly shocked at how the original promo bore a much stronger resemblance to the video games. I had no problem with the redesigns on the final version, but somehow I would love to believe a Megaman cartoon could look THIS good.

  • @ 0:29 did mega man just do a spindash?

  • @1:35 Bright Man...?

  • ...And instead we got a poorly written Mega Man show with robots on steroids and a Scooby Doo rip-off. Oh, and re-used DBZ sound effects and music are all over here, too.

  • @SuperSketch008

The Ocean Group dub of DBZ was made AFTER Mega Man, so the reverse is true. DBZ took music from Mega Man.

Also, hard to rip-off something you created since the company, "Ruby-Spears" was made up of the creators of Scooby-Doo.

  • I'd rather have had this than what we got. Also, some of that footage was used in the Rockman 7 commercial for Japan if I'm not mistaken.

  • I like the tags.

  • Bright Man? That's Elec Man.

  • omg! don't tell the megaman fans about another canceled megaman project. they might shoot to kill this time. lol

  • @loneneko )8< ...TOO LATE! lol

  • @Digiwario hell ya! probably happened on black friday. lol

  • Yea, no way in the actual cartoon would've been this good. Hell, take note of how badass and intense the opening to the US Megaman is. Intros were always a lie in cartoons back then.

  • looks to me like they were trying to just dub over a japanese version and bring it over here.

  • This looks like a pitch to TV network executives.

  • @SeraphManEXE

It was. ;P It's actually pretty amazing that we even get to see this!

  • But they put the crappy stupid one isntead of this one :(

  • @prjibaro1

It's not that bad. Take one look at the Captain N Mega Man. They didn't decided to ditch this just because. Unfortunately, this version of Mega Man didn't test well at the time in the states. It wasn't Ruby-Spears fault. Capcom had final say. And this isn't EXACTLY what the show would have looked like. This is what the INTRO would have looked like. It's very unlikely the animation in episodes would be consistently this good. Take ThunderCats for example.
