I do think Rodney is the best at flatground, however; I don't think it's right to call someone the king, whether that be Koston, Alva, Mullen, or whoever. Perhaps a better title for Rodney would be the "grandfather of skateboarding" because it was he who first ollied on flat and then incorporated that into the modern tricks we learn today.

I've been a fan of huge street skateboarding (like big gaps and shit) for as long as I can remember, but Rodney will always be the king of skating in my mind. I don't think most people who skate understand how much control it takes to land primo & slide on purpose from various different flip tricks. That and just the rest of his style overall. Just because he isn't seen flying down a 20 stair while flipping his board, doesn't mean he isn't the shit. He deserves more credit.
