OK, but I just never thought much of anything Bert Wilson did. I don't think he has done anything to contribute to saxophone playing. That squealing and squawking is really not musical at all. It requires no special skill and is quite simple to do, if you want to do that. I love Jim Pepper and I was appalled that this was supposed to be a tribute to him? I just listened to it again and I have the same opinion. My opinion, I realize some people might like this, I don't.
Given your own accomplishments as a musician, I would have thought you would have accorded more respect for someone who has accomplished so much in the jazz world. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion; this is not a problem. I simply find it surprising that one can so easily dismiss another artist's work, especially when that artist has contributed so much to the development of his instrument. (I am certainly not alone in my assessment; Jim Pepper thought highly of Wilson.)

@Alastair6
You left a condescending comment for him and his band @ "For Jim Pepper "

@newdawg100 OK, so I removed my comment. I still didn't care for it. Also, I never said anything about comparing the two..
