Quality is awesome for the phone. Very impressive. But zoom smoothnes should be fixed. Also electronic stabilization must be implemented - and proper realization would make videos much better.

Even as is this phone would meet need of video shooting of many people. But there are back-lit sensors(more expensive to produce unfortunately) and even sensor size could be made bigger - still fitting in today's phones...

Not that nice quality, although it is understandable, 1080p recording on phones is so new to the market, not many can expect the crisp, sharp, high frame rate quality we get from 720p phones, I think it will take a while for this tech to evolve to the point which 720p recording phones has gotten to, as phones improve, 1080p recording in phones will get sharper and smoother, I made the mistake of getting the first 720p phone, terrible frame rate, but look where 720p phones are now :)

@rsoreo Its strange, this video sample here is quite crappy in my opinion... but there is another 1080p sample somewhere with direkt comparaison to the nokia n8 and there the lg really shows quality, i think the video quality is on one level (personally i prefer the N8, dynamic etc.) (found the link :-D (n8fanclub(dot)com/2011/01/nok­ia-n8-vs-lg-optimus-2x-video.h­tml) so yea pictures of n8 are better (especially low light with flash)

@rsoreo i have no problems with lag or so, its not the fastestest and smoothes phone (also due to symbian) but there are no significant lags in daily use, fast menus, browsing through pictures is super smooth etc... basically if you really want an android phone (if you like the os) you chose the lg, if you also feel confortable with symbian you chose the n8... i also wanted to wait till the lg comes out but finally i bought the n8 (in december) and am quite glad with it

@rsoreo especially little features other phones havent surprised and helped me in some situations like the fm transmitter (no 3,5 cable needed to just listen to a new song while being at a friends house), then i really like the aluminium design :-D (solid-metal-lover), sound quality is great (even a little better than my ipod, i was really amazed when i put the headphones on, a little more bass and overall smoother. usb on the go can be useful to but didnt use it yet.. theres also a camera mod

@rsoreo available the hyperx which still optimizes the camera quality a little more, makes videos smoother (30fps) and photos bigger and better (from 2MB to 4MB), yea :-D got a little long my whole story, could still write 10 comments on what i like about the n8 xD you could also try the phones at a store and check out if you like the OS of the N8 or prefer an android phone..

@rsoreo heheh im glad to hear this :-) also the sound of the videos can be important, check my sample video on my channel, you hear a very clear bass and very clear sound, best recorded sound ive ever heard of a phone. i hadnt real problems, at the beginning it bugged a little bit i changed profiles about 6/7 times a day from offline to online and sometimes it bugged and said i had to restart and somehow after a update i think it reboots sometimes but its no real problem for me...

@rsoreo hm, wave2 i dont really know a lot about bada, i liked the wave1 physically, was good aluminium, wide screen, good batterylife but i dont know if bada can even compete with symbian? what i heard is that bada isnt that great, heard also something about a big software update on bada but takes still a lot time... you should try the phones in a store to see which one is good for you. greeetz

This is 1080p right? but look at the quality, its blurred and not as sharp. For 1080p recorded clips viewing at that size it should be crisp. What we see in this clip is like when you blow up a picture/video full screen and you lose the crispness and sharpness.

Could someone clarify me about the screen this phone features? Also I think that the quality of this shot is very decent considering it's a cloudy day and the landscape lacks colors. The microphone sounds okay, there's just too much wind to tell for sure. And an additional lol to the people comparing this to 720p videos by other phones.

The best mobile pictures and videos i've seen do far from amobile is from the Nokia N8 then the iphone 4. What i would also like to mention is that even with the best dslr camera you can still take bad pictures or video, quality partly depends on who is taking the footage.

yeah the HTC cameras suck i can admit that, the best phone video pictures ive seen are from iphone 4, i havnt seen samsungs picture quality though. the biggest disappointment on my Desire HD is the camera. and about this LG phones video quality, well the colors are a bit washed out and you can see that the edges are very soft... this doesnt deserve to be called 1080p, it would still look like a divx movie if you watched it on a TV with full HD

Unfortunately, the bitrate is very low at 9.5 mbps. For 1080p, from a phone, that usually don't use optimized h.264 encoders in order to not destroy much battery life, it means that this video needed 24 mbps for me to consider it.

that's almost unwatchable :P, just like with still camera's, resolution isnt everything. In video, frame rates, and the ability of the processor to keep up with that frame rate is really important, which it appears isnt happening here, also the colors are washed out, and theres a haze around everything. I'd take my N8 any day over this as far as a camera is concerned. And yes the N8's zoom IS better, it has the ability to zoom in with out becoming distorted, unlike this.

If you knew anything about the N8 you'd know that it doesnt have optical zoom. Very few phone camera's do. The N8 uses a different type of digital zoom which instead of zooming in or cropping into one specific area like most digital zooms do which causes distortion due to the resolution being shrunk down, the N8 is able to zoom with out distortion because it uses the full 12MP sensor's resolution to be able to zoom in while keeping the same full resolution of 1280x720.

Επίσης αν είναι εύκολο, γράψε άλλο ένα με ποιο γρήγορο Panning να δούμε το framerate λίγο καλύτερα.
