I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Injec. Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree

Had a 504 GLD 1970 for a year, after l crashed my first car (Alfa 2000 GTJ 1974 /__\)

Basically learned to drive in it and sold it with a profit of 500 Dutch guilders (minus F 12 for a tin of polishing cleaner, which transformed the paintwork and the body )

You can personnaly import any car to the UK, go to the DVLA website and it will tell you how to go about declaring it in the UK and getting UK registration. You'll need further paperwork for the customs at the port. Any good shipping agent will arrange container shipment.

Sorry just realised I assumed you are in the UK, but I dont know that. If not the same would apply in many respects of your European country, as UK registration documents are now European format.

i actually have a 504 GR saloon made in 1988,works perfectly and is still stronger than the new cars around

Ground clearance is superb,engine is still great and the metal is heavy,when inside,i always feel like I am driving a castle-Long live the 5O4

it can't be made in 1988 because Peugeot stopped the production in 1983. ( Except the pick up version ). Or maybe you have an Argentina version ?

There have been many of them from south Africa but this was made in Europe,not Argentina

The 504 was made in Sochaux from 1968 to 1983. Most of them finished (old cars ) their life in magrehb or in Africa. The argentina version stopped recently.

Pickup trucks were available in the UK until 1994. I think Argentina, Nigera, Kenya ran until Peugeot stopped knock down kits at the end of 1999. Not sure about the Chinese production run, think it was short lived!

My best friend had a 1973 peugeot 504. It was a nice car but completly rusted. Unfortunattely he threw it away in 1987 for a Ford Fiesta.... Today in France it's easier to see a coupe Pinifarina 504 than a 4 doors sedan. But some people started to be interested to this car.

The white car is a 1978 Peugeot 104GL. I've since sold it! There are only about 70 of them left in the UK!

The 504 is more popular, but the 104 is interresting car for me. I like the coupe ( 3 doors )

When I asked our car register center at 2003 we had 120 Peugeot 504 registered here in Finland! Can you believe it!? ONLY 120! And I can remember that 03 I saw couple really crappy 504 around here, Last year I didnt see any 504 around here, so it could be dropped to half. For sure, we have way under 100 of them registered here any more. But I'm one proud of them! :)

I have figures for 2004 in the UK. Total of 291 would appear to be cars and 1411 Pickup trucks. The trucks are highly sought after, and ebay prices are astonishing!

...T I .... yeah 504's are great cant wait to be driving my 504 GLD again. The Kugelfisher fuel injection on the TI is the reason a lot ended up scrap, when it fails its costly and obsolite, ... Nottingham Diesel can fix it though at a price!

In Argentina, we have plenty. It was the most produced car ever rising to half a million 504's made. It's a really cool and undestructible car even in harsh geographies such as the argentinian ones. That's why it was so highly priced among argentinian middle class.

Congratulations for you. Having a 504 in an Europe so full of crappy-plastic-discardable modern cars, is a true privilege.

I agree. I've had two 504's back in the 80's when living in Cba. I got to enjoy them a lot. Very nice ride and head turners too believe it or not. My second one was a 78 TN version. I miss those days !!!Aguante Peugeot.

That's just so nice! Great that somebody actually has a 504 in these days. I have 504 1978 GLD and 1976 504 GL wich is a total sleeper, it has Peugeot 605 ZPJ4 3.0 24v v6 engine with limited slip diffrential =)
