These shots do definitely help. My derm gave me these injections and the next day my skin had already improved. Nothing else worked except for the cortisone injections. They didn't hurt that much either.

I have cortisone tables that disolve as an anti-inflammatory for my post tonsillectomy. I get HORRIBLE stomach cramps after taking the dose. Is this normal?

Naturopaths have a different diagnosis. Any acne, rashes, or breaking out may be caused by microscopic parasites in the skin. They are a result of eating dead animal flesh. Detoxify the blood with oxygen and chlorophy. In other words, drink plenty of water and eat plenty of green leafy veggies..

Acne isn't caused by eating meat, anything you ingest is going to be broken down by hydrochloric acid and pepsin in your stomach and then even further broken down by other lipases and proteases in your small intestine before it enters your blood stream. And "oxygen and chlorophyll" are not going to "detoxify" your blood, chlorophyll is simply a photosynthetic pigment it isn't going to kill parasites in your circulatory system. Please stop spreading this pseudo-science it's absurd.

I have a question: I live in Canada and have severe acne, I constantly have noduls that scar. I have the indents too. YET whenever I go to my dermo, he will not give me the shots, he says he does not "do" that. Why? Is it because he's public? Should I go private? I am taking many many pills, but have not gone on accutane yet, evn tough they insisted...I don't want to damage my liver.

Also, how much are the cortisone shots?

Accutane MAY interfere with your liver but most of the time not. It's the only "cure" for sever acne and it really works.

@Coutureprincess0303 Hey if you live in Toronto you can go to "the acne clinic" at Yonge & Eglington and get it for only $10 per shot. Its like a miracle. I had it done at 2pm and when I woke up the next day it was gone.

Accutane isn't safe in my opinion. It can cause liver damage that can lead to a host of other problems far worse than acne.
