sure kate defended the man she loves & stroked his big 'ol ego which never ceases 2 amaze me. but carly was right & jason was right. sonny & kate were dead wrong. when sonny said, "i thought it would be ok." that's 1 of sonny's biggest flaws .. he doesn't think. when he doesn't it gets him into trouble. kate had absolutely no right 2 take mikey out of the house. sonny knew mikey was grounded yet sent his gf 2 go 2 his carly's house. did he think 2 call carly & ask .. uh.. no.
Lets not forget that Sonny said Kate could pick him up. And Sonny really did want to show michael his legit business. It wasn't like she just showed up and was like "suuuuprise!" Lets also not forget Sonny's the one that didn't want the gaurds.

Okay, so after watching this scene for the thousandth time, I still get chills from all four of these actors performances. Each actor portrayed their part superbly, and I think they all deserve emmy noms for these scenes.

Anyone notice how Kate didn't jump in to stop Sonny from being "unfair" for blaming Jason? And what was Sonny talking about when he said he was doing everything he could to support Carly? No. YOU WERENT. He's grieving to so its forgivable. But everything else about this fight is completely out of line. Jarly are so sweet together. So supportive, always.
"Micheal and I made a deal." totally broke me. I can't believe there is actually debate about this fight. Sonny called Jax (the stepfather) an outsider, yet his bed buddy of the month gets to stick her nose in Carly's grief? It's completely understandable why Carly was so furious with Sonny. this is the SECOND time in as many months that Sonny made the decision to keep her out of a dangerous situation regarding HER SON. that's where the fight was focused. Kate jumping in made it worse. GO JARLY!
both are parents in pain, granted. however, let us not forget that when Sonny saw that glare of the gun he protected Kate. Now i know Michael wasn't near him at the time but personally i would have gone towards my CHILD first before my significant other. its just that simple, and in that way Sonny failed Carly. not completely, but in that part, Sonny did fault as a father.

Well I watched the video. There is no way that Sonny could have reached Michael and regardless, he would have drawn the sniper's aim towards Michael and put him in real danger. The bullet ricocheted off the metal as it was headed in the direction of Sonny. Kate was moving towards him and he reacted instantly. This all happened in a split second.
This was the first time in a long time that Jason REALLY stood up for Carly. That was the best part of this storyline.
