One thing nobody is taking into account is during December 2012 if a solar flare happens the northern hemisphere would be pointed away from the sun meaning the USA and Europe would only get left-overs.
The southern Hemisphere though like New Zealand and Australia down under will have something to worry about especially if they are socialists where the lobbyist declare war on energy.
@Luciferminusone And force everybody to use solar panels/windmills which will all fry in the end INSTEAD of having a grid that can be safely turned off and restarted later if enough people are competent at their jobs..
A very powerful way to get widespread awareness and impact change is—for better or worse—dramatizing the effects of a massive solar storm impacting earth on TV. I have a new 6-season (if we make it that far before the cataclysm!) series in development doing just that. We are pitching it to networks now. First season is completely written (13 one-hour episodes). Check it out & see the trailer at TheCarringtonEvent (dot) com. Accepting interviews. Like what you see? Spread the word!
today january 25 2012 on aol. com on the news page it say 2012 massive solar flares hitting earth may cause earthquakes look for yourself 2012 is real go to aol.com and just look at the news page...its on the first page just hit the next key we are going to fry
A long duration M-class flare began erupting on the sun at 8:42 AM ET on Thursday, January 19. An earth-directed coronal mass ejection was associated with the solar flare. NASA's Space Weather Services estimates that it is traveling at over 630 miles per second and will reach Earth some time on Saturday, January 21, when strong geomagnetic storms are possible and viewers can be on the look out for increased aurora.
@ninjawzrd so u fucking watched the idiot video about the pole swich and planet X.... dude relax u got a long life to live... nothing s going to happen to u......... what happens happens... it can happen now.... now..... or mabye NOW
Is it true that the solar flares of the sun can damage the earth atmosphere electromagnetic field of our planet ? Just like furnace it required stability and precise measurement of the heat. The heat produce by the sun (sub-atomic explosion) called "solar flares" and its primary function of each planet such as mercury for instance is to stabilize the heat, optimize combustion and maintaining magnetic distance which create a "shield magnetic full" from the sun to each corresponding planet etc.
stupid question, but what if its night time when a solar flare bitch slaps us would that only affect the unlucky side or would it still screw us all? does it depend on how big the flare is?
According to (NOAA), massive solar flares are expected in the next two years that could disable electrical grids worldwide – and that could put over 700 nuclear reactors in jeopardy of meltdown. That's because they are cooled by systems that need an outside source of electricity; so, if the grid goes down, and if auxiliary generators fail, so will the cooling systems. Why does this matter? you have to understand how is nuclear material is prevented from "going nuclear" every day?=Electricity
@2wheels88 You don't get that you canstop the reaction in seconds. That will stop over heating and stop meltdown. Meltdown occurs only when you cannot stop the chain reaction in time. I'm 100% certain in the event of black outs ect ect the system automatically stops the chain reactions
@BenFosterism Only if the back up generators still work.In Japan they failed and it's still out of control even with access to power,it is even worse than Chernobyl.
@JiieeesssBbb And when we do eventually get hit, theres nothing humanity can do to stop it. The only thing that has the potential to save us, is technology, and the radiation will destroy all technology. Nothing to do but ride it out.
@TheStevomatik2:30 "With advanced warning, governments and companies can take steps to protect their technological infrastructure so that the worst scenarios will never happen." And I'm pretty sure they have plenty of ways to cover a blackout. If not, that's just stupid.
@zAoEx The chain reaction that actually runs the reactor can be shut off in a matter of seconds. The radioactive material, will continue to give off heat for a long time. at the moment are 432 nuclear powerplants all over the world...
@TheStevomatik Hurrrrrrrrrrr Durrrrrrr I bet you we're opne of the people who thought fukushima was just as bad as Chernobyl because and was posting those stupid theorys on any fukushima related video.
@TheStevomatik They have reserve generators that run on oil or something similar. Do you seriously beileve that they haven't thought about that possibility?
@SporadicHesitation If people weren't stupid and actually maintained these nuclear power plants with a clear and sound policy for communication then they wouldn't melt down in the first plce. (place)
The Japan power plant was actually over=due for inspection and there was a new version of power plants that had upgraded safety features on the cooling rods the one that melted down didn't have.
McCoy: Don't pander to me, kid. One tiny crack in the hull, and our blood boils in thirteen seconds. Solar flare might crop up, cook us in our seats. And wait till you're sitting pretty with a case of Andorian shingles. See if you're still so relaxed when your eyeballs are bleeding! Space is disease and danger wrapped in darkness and silence.
Kirk: Well I hate to break this to you, but Starfleet operates in space
I suspect that this will be the scientific explanation for why we will be in darkness for 3 days in 2012. They are already talking about solar flares causing problems to our electronic devices, but from what I have gathered, this event will not be caused by solar flares. Instead, it will be caused by the "theoretical" pole shifts that will supposedly take place. The pole shift will send us in to a void period (3 days of darkness) while we shift into higher states of consciousness. Supposedly...
If a pole shift would happen, that would mean massive volcano eruptions.
The ash in the air would probably be so dense that that would be the cause of the sunblock.
If it happens though, I've read a lot more bull about 2012. from Planet Niburu comming past us to the overtake of the world govt by the illuminati / new world order.
@SNoRRo Well can't really say it's bull because no one really knows what is going to happen. I've seen more evidence on the pole shift than I have on any other supposed prophecy or theoretical doomsday. Although, the pole shift theory has a lot spiritual concepts and theories circulating around it. The New World Order theory is not so far-fetched seeing as how we have had many presidents mention the subject in their speeches, but we will not know for sure. I, personally, believe it to be true..
Personally I believe everything can be true, if there are multi-dimensional universa then the chance of any of these things happening, is infinite, but the chance of it being bull is also infinite.
As far as I have learned from all the info about 2012, all humans will be able to sub-conciously experience their own reality. and that's why all these different theories exist. and why they are all possible.
.. and funding, and do this, just get it over with.. stop wars, stop poverty, stop hate, because we're all the same.. make the world a better place and explore what is before us.
..it's only growing, it's always growing.. because what's happening out there, is what will answer all of our questions down here. We're surrounded by cunts who are so fixated on "who's cheating on who" who's making how much" it's fucking dumb, and it's all a distraction. It's distracting the stupid fucks out there who fall easily to little side bends, and can't look past what's here, on the ground.. we need to fucking get our shit together, as humans, put all of our discoveries and technology..
.. knowledge we have about space will be staggering. If you think, from the first space mission, to satelites, to telescopes, to whatever the fuck they have next, I don't know what they'll come out with.. but god damn it will be huge, and it will just compliment the spiralling force of curiosity and discovery of life and matter, and this massive entanglement of floating objects within different rotations, within different regions of time, within different forms of gravity.. it's so complex, and.
I can't wait to see when I'm on my death bed, what humans have learned about the universe.. just to be like a super old dude, and to have watchede a lifetime of humans just continuously pursue curiosity about matter and anti matter and lifeforms in deep deep space, and decifering between the universe and the multiverse, and just having a better grasp in general of just what is going on.. I think by the time I'm 80, I'm 20 now, but I think that in 60 years, the amount of information and..
I think the US said they are turning off power grids (I think countrywide?) if a strong flare coming towards earth happened. They learnt from the 1989 blackout and don't want that to happen again. It cost them alot.
yes! you guys need to make more videos like this, with the charts and graphs and explaining so us non-science life forms can actually understand. i understand!
What I want to know is who are the 6 retarted douchebags who actually disliked this video? I mean, do they hate knowledge and discovery to the point that they feel they have to make a stand? Are they so insecure in their lives that the only way they can affirm their own stupidity is via a mistrust of fact? If you dislike this video for the knowledge and enlightenment it brings, you are a fucking moron.
If only we could figure out a way to somehow harnass the solar flare energy or energy from lightning strikes. All our energy problems would be solved.
I've always wondered, aren't these videos speeded up a bit? Otherwise those flares and gas emissions that seem to flow over the surface are moving at unbelievable speed. How about a few numbers so we can all go "WOW!"?
@Zovex11: That's the speed of light; that's how fast the first warning can get here. The actual particles are somewhat slower, up to 1% of light speed.
@resinatedhuman One of the great things about science is that it is self-correcting. Great thinkers approach a subject with preconceptions about a subject and are regularly proven wrong. The cosmological constant has proven to be a great tool in understanding the mechanics of the universe, even if Einstein's philosophy contradicted it. Why else would he consider it his "greatest blunder"?
@resinatedhuman If you are going to turn this into an argument, you must cite sources of recent (within the last 10 years) books and journals that you have personally read. Cosmology is not only my favorite subject, but my personal career goal... and I have scientists like J. Richard Gott, Leonard Susskind, and Brian Greene to back up everything I say. These are not my words, they are the words of preeminent astrophysicists and cosmologists. You are many years behind in research and thinking.
@resinatedhuman Don't change the subject. Maybe Einstein's preconceptions were wrong, but his math is solid. The cosmological constant does oppose gravity: "The negative pressure produced by dark energy does have a gravitational effect... since it is negative pressure (or suction), it exerts a negative gravitational effect... thus, dark energy produces an overall gravitational repulsion, causing the universe's expansion to be accelerating today." J. Richard Gott, Astrophysict (Princeton)
@resinatedhuman Correct, he considered it his biggest blunder. But cosmologists and astrophysicists are now founding out that the cosmological constant is responsible for the expansion of the universe. Read any recent works on Quantum Mechanics, Cosmology, or String Theory. Einstein was not wrong, he simply thought he was.
Suggestion to YouTube... Place that thumbs down button at the far right side near the nuber of views... It's too close to the Like button; 4 clicked on it accidentally...
Question: these lares occur every 11 yrs increasing the chances of one hitting the earth. So if the last hit us in 03 and caused minor grid problems, the next one is sure to hit us between now till 2014? And if so then is it correct to assume it'll be more severe than the one in 03? Can anyone in the helio physics profession please explain? Thanks in anticipation :)
@shoa31 i spoke to the sun after reading your comment. you are right. he is rather pissed. ill grab the knife and altar... you grab the fattened calf and the other knife
@resinatedhuman No, Einstein was not wrong about the cosmological constant. He just thought that he was. Cosmologists have recently discovered otherwise: it is needed to explain the accelerating universe and vacuum energy.
@mistermassive1 In case you didn't realise, i'm what is known as an internet troll. I personally love Space Rip videos and i watch them to gain inspiration for my photography of the night sky.
I just like to know that people are still willing to fight back the sort of comments that i just used.
PS. Praying won't do shit, Jesus isn't real anyways.
Oh you people, complaining about not learning about the universe in this one particular video. I actually found it quite interesting. Give them a break.
the only answer is develop a nova corps....a squadron of the top space personnell that secure the safety of human life and also...alien life.

Why else would he consider it his "greatest blunder"?
thenebbishroute 6 months ago
@resinatedhuman If you are going to turn this into an argument, you must cite sources of recent (within the last 10 years) books and journals that you have personally read. Cosmology is not only my favorite subject, but my personal career goal... and I have scientists like J. Richard Gott, Leonard Susskind, and Brian Greene to back up everything I say. These are not my words, they are the words of preeminent astrophysicists and cosmologists. You are many years behind in research and thinking.
thenebbishroute 6 months ago
@resinatedhuman Don't change the subject. Maybe Einstein's preconceptions were wrong, but his math is solid. The cosmological constant does oppose gravity: "The negative pressure produced by dark energy does have a gravitational effect... since it is negative pressure (or suction), it exerts a negative gravitational effect... thus, dark energy produces an overall gravitational repulsion, causing the universe's expansion to be accelerating today." J. Richard Gott, Astrophysict (Princeton)
thenebbishroute 6 months ago
@resinatedhuman Correct, he considered it his biggest blunder. But cosmologists and astrophysicists are now founding out that the cosmological constant is responsible for the expansion of the universe. Read any recent works on Quantum Mechanics, Cosmology, or String Theory. Einstein was not wrong, he simply thought he was.

nyeh, be thankful idiots come here, it makes them easier to see.
When life has got you down, look at those people, and think "hell, things could be worse, I could be them."
Besides, it would be against the spirit of the first amendment... and rules in about seven dozen constitutions/bills of rights.

@resinatedhuman No, Einstein was not wrong about the cosmological constant. He just thought that he was. Cosmologists have recently discovered otherwise: it is needed to explain the accelerating universe and vacuum energy.
thenebbishroute 6 months ago
@mistermassive1 In case you didn't realise, i'm what is known as an internet troll. I personally love Space Rip videos and i watch them to gain inspiration for my photography of the night sky.
I just like to know that people are still willing to fight back the sort of comments that i just used.
PS. Praying won't do shit, Jesus isn't real anyways.
