Can´t get enough of this beautiful song. Again I was singing along with you and enjoyed what you played around the melody. Thank you for this special Easter egg which I put in my favs. I really like this guitar...
@SabMei1 I'm honored Sabine, of course I had the melody and everything but you know me, I love arranging around the theme and came up with this "call and response" Idea.Glad you enjoyed my version, till soon my lady, big hug Vic.
A very refreshing and reflective rendition of this classic tune. Well done, Victor! A big thumbs up for you since ratings are now gone. Cheers, Jeff :)
You place the melody out front beautifully. And the lines you composed in support of that melody.... they are very fitting. Just enough drama to keep the interest high throughout. Nice composing. 5***** of course.
@archtopbrownie Thanks Lance, it was real fun playing it in this way, it felt like the Intro and Outro spiced up the tune like a great sandwich.lol, greetings Vic.
@Jazzguts Oh, yes, Vic, you really spiced it up. That melody is fine, sure, but what you do around it is breathtakingly beautiful! Like it***** Greetz, Jogi
nice take on an old favoite...if you haven't heard Hayley Westenra (Celtic Woman) do this song search it out it is a treat! Also Billy Childs jazz version. Of course I enjoy all your arrangements ...thanks for the music
@thealpozgirgin Thanks for that remark, I didn't want to compare mine with their version it's totally different, we certainly wont get any wiser,in Holland we say it's the same as comparing apples and pears, friendly Vic.
Very original and clever arrangement Vic. The intro/outro work beautifully with the melody. I like the subtle changes you made to the harmony. Bravo Maestro.
@carvetop01 Thanks Allen,I think we have something in common, we both like doing Music that could be related to Jazz but not necessarily so, it could be Pop, Blues, Classic, once it inspires us to do something with these fine themes, let's just call it Music, this covers all genres, thanks for your visit Amigo,Vic.
Classical guitar somehow always seeps into my skin and goes through my body with mixed emotions. Whether it be happy or sad, defiant or triumphant.
I listen to the story being told by strings and relate those feelings to my own life experiences. This is the magic that you demonstrate in your playing.
Thank you for a wonderful rendition of this masterpiece, the pleasure has been all mine!
@cryptonet007 Fine words you choose here to express your feelings. That was so beautiful and so romantic. I heard this song before, but not like this, love it. Your guitar has a rich sound. The combination of the guitar and your playing it sound so deep, all the way from the soul. EXCELLENT VIC!!!!!
